Normally I hate yellow, too, but in this case, I like it. The colour of the robe goes nicely with her yellow halo, and it's not too bright and cheery.
I suppose one can really like any colour if it's used well enough.

I really think that the wing's color scheme is really cool. The rainbow effect is beautiful. I love the way you've positioned her in the composition of the pic. Your attention to detail is truly amazing.

Beautiful job on the feathers. They seem almost real, soft and sleek and ruffled edges, truly designed for flight. (I've fallen in love with your feathers.) The coloring is perfect, from the blue-grey shadows on the white feathers, the dark blue, the smudged greens and purples, yellows and reds. (They remind of fish scales, for some reason ^^) I love the bird's pose-- with the wings outstretched-- and how the ribbons adds that feeling of free and flowing movement. The cloth of the angel's clothing seems to have such substance, and how the feet seem to be clinging to the stone, lending the sense that the angel is a real, corporeal being with both weight and balance. The pale stone background is so pretty, pure and weathered gently with time.

wow... i was that way with orange for years.... i lived with my stepfamily and my stepdad's mother had the entire house carpeted, painted and wallpapered in retro oranges. we didn't exactly get along too well. it took moving out of the house to get comfortable with the color again! anyway, your work is lovely. i'm always happy to see more of it.
