People flip through my sketchbook, and a very puzzled expression always comes to their faces when they get to this sketch midway through (I first did this sketch about 4 months ago, but just didn't quite know what to do with it yet at that point). "Um...what's with the winged lizards with halos?" Pages of them at that. I just smile in response. Make of it what you will.At any rate, this will be my Christmas card for 2004.

stretched out towards future's bow.
A memory of divinity
deep-etched in blood and mind
that yearns for a perfection
beyond all earthly kind.

i once read a book about the zoroaster. in this book the zoroaster as a youngin is speaking to the spirits of the earth and is shown two snakes with crowns on their heads. of course not physical crowns- spiritual crowns.
this deviation reminded me of that.

I see so much detail in them, and I was wondering how much of your time that takes up. Just a thought.

It varies...anything from a couple hours to over 50 for some of the large ones. I post my pictures as I finish them, so by the dates you can kind of see how many days.
