With many, many, MANY (and a few more, for good measure) apologies to for his three month wait... I regret deeply that this is nothing like what I wanted it to be. I wanted to add a background. Something, you know... with actual substance than my usual fair, but everything just... didn't work out, or fell flat, or... blah. Eventually I realized that after he posted HIS (awesome beyond awesome!) piece of our art trade over two months ago (seriously, go check it out, and everything else he does) and I wasn't getting anywhere else with mine... I had to concede and make it a transparent PNG in defeat so that he could at least see what he'd requested, which was a picture of his OC Robot Master Thunder Man in a Supercharged state.*Sigh*
More apologies, Imbi. I wanted to incorporate your idea with some ambiance, like he was on some sort of foggy show stage, but instead of fog, it was actually condensed mist, as, realizing that cold boosts his power, he would somehow incorporate a measure of it into his battle arena or something like that. But... I just couldn't get it to look right.
Initially, I had also wanted to show him using his sound-based attack... but then I realized that I had no idea how to draw that.
I know I'm probably being harder on myself than he will be on me. He'll probably love it (and really, I hope you do!). I'm just... disappointed that I couldn't do more. And after increased frustrations upon frustrations with each failed attempt at a background (coupled with some life issues that demanded more attention as time went on) I lost heart, which only delayed me more.
I still have a lot to learn about art and the arting process.
I like how the lighting turned out, at least.
So here you go, Imbi. I apologize again that you had to wait THREE MONTHS for this.

Thanks, Snowman! I wanted to do something a little different than my usual fare. Initially I wanted most of his details to be entirely hidden in shadow so that the highlights (and facial features) were practically all you saw, but it didn't turn out too well, so I lessened the effect.

Whoa, hit the brakes man! No matter what you think you wish you could have done, you can't deny that this still turned out awesome! Love it! The fully body pose, the lighting, his freaking arrogant grin, it's perfect! Always did love your full body pics. You always manage to pull off these cool looking poses. And it definitely shows here. But I especially like the lighting here! Most of him being shrouded in darkness, with his top part being bathed in electric light... it really makes him look powerful and intimidating. And speaking of intimidating, those loose knots of electricity arcing behind him looks so wild and scary! I could hear the buzzing and crackling from the screen. ^^
As for his powers, I picture it as some sort of air cannon. It's just a short powerful burst of sound. Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure how I'll draw it either.
Don't worry about the time. We all got some more important stuff to take care of from time to time. I think it's better to deal with those first, THEN draw with a free schedule and a light heart. Also, if it makes you feel better... I posted a pic that was over 2 years over due.

I'm glad you like it, Imbi. I do like how he came out. I just... I had so much more in my head for it. It sketched this guy so many times I can probably draw him from memory by now. This was the only pose that stuck.
I must've tried at least five different background ideas, too.
As for another art trade, I'd more than love to, but maybe not for a few months at least.

Yeah, I understand. I always have lots of plans for my pics that don't turn out right or never get executed at all. It does feel very frustrating. But hey, you can still use those ideas for other pics at least. Maybe by that time, you would have already figured out how to properly execute them.
It's ok. I think need to call timeout on the trades anyway. For now anyway.

True. I guess I just shy away from using real names because I dislike when people use my real name on any kind of internet presence. I tend to be a private person, so I like to extend the same 'courtesy'... even if it doesn't bother others as much.

Nice to see another piece from you. Imbi's Thunder man is pretty rad and a fun design to boot. I love the shading in this, really feels like he means business. As for the sound effects, yeah I do find it hard to pull of but maybe would use this as reference. But overall, good work.
