This is Sash Lilac. Originally an OC of , she was taken and revamped a bit by (with help from others) for use in the game Freedom Planet. Yeah, I've been gushing about this one for a few weeks now. My friends are probably sick of it. Well, no, I haven't been that bad, but if you've seen the other picture in my Scraps, the game has certainly got my attention. Seriously, it's a lot of fun. Lilac (as she is commonly known) is voiced by . The game's voice acting has gotten some flak, it seems, but personally, I thought it was really well done, and genuinely helped bring the story to life.

I've not drawn a lot of 'Sonic' fanart over the years, so the proportions are strange to me (Oh, yeah, the game actually started out as a Sonic Fangame, hence it's similarities, but really, it comes into it's own). So, Lilac isn't really in 'Sonic' proportions, but this one took me quite a while. Trying to get the lineart to my liking and whatnot. I used a very different style of shading, as this picture was entirely done in OpenCanvas as opposed to my normal Photoshop. I like the way OpenCanvas's Watercolor brush works for shading. If anyone knows how to replicate that effect in Photoshop, please let me know. I also used a bit more dramatic lighting than I normally attempt, so please let me know if you think it works or not.

All-in-all, I'm rather pleased with how it came out. I wanted to add a background, but... well, I'm not very good with backgrounds. The lineart itself took me a few days to get it looking the way I wanted it to. I REALLY wanted to try something new with the pose, but... nothing I could come up with looked right, so I guess I settled back onto my standard stuff. I really need to branch out on that. I've got another picture of Torque in the works that might be a little different, if I ever get around to finishing it.
