Undeniably the best. crossover. EVERGames = super fun. Fandoms = awesome. And the character interactions would be great:
Maya + Luke = BFFs, obviously
Layton + Edgeworth = tea buddies
Flora + Pearl = useless adorable sisters
Chelmey + Gumshoe = most incredible detective team ever
Francesca + Legal = they can be crazy together or something
Phoenix + ???

I was finally okay with the fact that I'm going to spend ~$300 on the 3DS...but when the list of the first games they're releasing came out, I was pretty disappointed. I'm just going to wait until the better titles are released...and hopefully Prof Layton/PW will be here soon, whee!

that wouldn't be the best crossover ever, it IS the BEST crossover EVER! I can't wait for the release! too bad is only for Japan (and that the plot is in like, a complete different dimension/world/time)

The timeline thing was a little disappointing at first --I'd really hoped that somehow their worlds had like, collided or something-- but at least this alternate one looks pretty interesting ^^

yeah, I mean he's been accused of murder, been the butt of everyone's jokes, gets virtually no respect despite being an awesome lawyer, and eventually loses his job.

Let's not forget that he was almost a victim, and took physical abuse from half of his opponents, and being forced to endure so many tragedies such as death of a mentor or abduction of assistant. Now that I think about it, I can't help but give him extra props for still being a big ol' sweetheart.

Well, relax, we only know very little about this game. Time will tell.
But, maybe the lack of secondary characters from both franchises is the best, in order to keep the four heroes's protagonism. Although I would love seeing something similar to Majora's Mask: same charas in the outside, but different inside and with their own lives in this world.

Oh hey that would be a really great idea! I loved how Majora's Mask handled the alternate timeline w/ different characters take. But even if they're not in the game, I'm just thankful that this game exists it all! It is going to be awesome

Aww... I never stopped to draw Layton properly you know... The only thing I've been doing are doodles XD I'd love to do a good piece of work though. But I have some serious problems when it comes to draw people! x_x Even when they are simple like Mr. Puzzle :/
