*ADVICE FOR THOSE CUSTOMIZING A MONSTER HIGH DOLL WITH SCULPTED PARTS IN THE FACE:
I suggest to do any re-rooting first and re-attach the head again before starting to sculpt: Annoying as it may be to cover up the hair during sculpting/ face-up and having the whole body dangling from your hands all the time, it is nearly impossible to get the head back on the neck again after you've sculpted and painted without getting any cracks.
Vinyl is a very tricky material to get something to stick to. Epoxy putty is sort of sticky by itself and stays nicely in place... But it won't hold if the surface it's attached to is bended too much.
As you can see, I sculpted and painted her before putting her back on her body, and even though I was very careful and even trimmed the neck-anchor a bit so it was easier to put in, I still had to do some repairs...

Thanks Shame you don't watch Doctor Who... You'd like her even more.
This is what she normally looks like: wallpaperswide.com/tardis_2-wa…

Aves Apoxie sculpt and sandpaper? I am hoping to do that with an Operetta as well but she will be going through a lot more sculpting when I get around to it! (*coughcough*Quarian from Mass Effect*coughcough*)

This is great!! I am glad to see someone else has successfully filled in her scar!! ^-^

What kind of paint (and what colors) did you use to match her skin tone?

It helps sanding the inside of scar a bit with a piece of folded sanding paper (or a sanding tool if you have one small enough), so the epoxy has a bit more grip. Scratching with a needle might also work. Make sure to press the epoxy tightly to the skin.

I suggest to reroot en re-attach the head first before starting to sculpt: Annoying as it may be to cover up the hear and have the whole body dangling from where you're working at, it is nearly impossible to get the head on the neck again after you've sculpted and painted without getting any cracks.
As you can see, I sculpted and painted her before putting her back on her body, and even though I was very careful and even trimmed the neck-anchor a bit, I still had to do some repairs...

Paint I used was acrylic model paint... I used a pink rose flesh tone, another flesh tone that had a bit more yellow in it, some vibrant purple, some cobalt blue, some crimson red, a speck of black (to add a little greyness) and pure white.
Took a whole lot of agonizing drop-by-drop mixing before I got the right tones for both head and body (they're not the same, head is lighter and slightly more grey-orange-ish), so be prepared for that Just getting the right colour could easily cost you up to an hour of work. Make sure to set some apart in an air-tight jar, so you can work in very thin layers and get a nice, even skin tone.

Good luck on your Quarian!
Not sure if you chose Operetta because you like the face better, but if it's a matter of skin tone, I think a Spectra could also do the job... And that would save you a lot of work.

Thanks for all the tips!! I am planning on having a friend root her for me before I work on her. I'm only decent at the sculpting and maybe the painting (we'll see lol)

I plan on Operetta because of the beautiful purple skin tone, I DO like Spectra's face mold better but I'm not sure if I'll want to repaint the entire face.. Also I'd have to get my hands on an extra spectra, Operetta will come in the 5 pack dance class and I have already bought her solo so I figured I could use one of those Also I plan on giving her eyes sort of like scarah's so the blank eyes on the white head might not be as stunning as on the purple skintoned head I am hoping to make more Mass Effect based custom dolls, (I've made an asari but she's still in need of a face up! )

They are addictive, aren't they? I already had a weeping angel (Ghoulia), now Idris, and planning on yet another Who-based character already... Even though Idris doesn't even have shoes yet and I still have so much other stuff to work on.

Custom dolls are SO great! xD I started getting into them by purchasing from others I have quite a few now hehe I also have some that are getting rerooted right now from my friend and then one more on hold for me with another friend xD Only recently I've started to customize dolls myself. So I've grown into it I guess xD There are pics in my gallery if you'd like a peek at my WIPs

I had two I HAD to start so I've been working on them at the same time! xD One needed a lot less work than the other and is just sitting pretty waiting for her repaint xD
