Description My customized Ghoulia Yelps, Lacrimosa.
Lacrimosa is a Weeping Angel, a creature from the sci-fi series Doctor Who. They are creatures that feed on time difference. They can move at light speed, but only when nobody is looking at them: As soon as they are spotted, they turn to stone... But blink for a second, and they are right in front of you.

Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And DON'T BLINK.
Good luck...

For those interested: Her wings are made out of hobby foam, painted with acrylics. They can be pinned onto the Lego hinges on her back (those are fixed in place with epoxy clay), so she can actually move her wings like a butterfly.

I rerooted it, meaning that I removed all the original hair and stitched new hair through the skull.
If you google "rerooting dolls" you'll find some tutorials.

Op zich ben ik niet zo'n gigantisch fan van MH dolls, maar soms zit er een parel tussen. Dit is er voor mij een ervan. Ik vind het concept van de Weeping Angels al geweldig, dus dat je dit zo mooi hebt uitgewerkt in een MH Doll vind ik knap.

Dankjewel! Ik heb geprobeerd de juiste balans te vinden tussen de originele Weeping Angels en het idee van Monster High... Met natuurlijk een beetje van mezelf erbij.
Ik zal nooit MH poppen gaan sparen o.i.d, maar het idee van "Monsterkinderen die eigenlijk totaal niet op hun ouders lijken" vind ik fantastisch. Als ze deze eens hadden gehad toen ik 10 was, in plaats van alleen Barbies (en clonen daarvan)...

I love the doll, the fluttering wigs are such a great idea and I love the yarn hair, the bbc releases of the classic episodes they didn't loose here are ridiculously over priced you can get all of season one of the new stuff the nith doctor for about $50 and it's also about the same for any season of torchwood, bu classic doctor who is a ridiculous $120 and there's just 4 episodes on it ! I've been wanting to watch the classic ones but the few my dad has are on video.

MasterGallifrey on Youtube has some episodes of the classic series,
but most clips are to be found on the BBC's official Doctor Who website. If you're not in England, you have to go through a site that offers proxyserver-detours to hide your foreign IP-address. Hydemyass.com is a good one.
