I’m not sure if I’ll make it canon that they meet, but in this hypothetical situation, Tuff somehow discovers her true identity and finds her sister as soon as possible- although Swanky has NO idea, and thinks her sister is dead. She doesn’t know who this strange mohawked pegasus is and kind of wants her to go away tbh
In fact, before Swanky realizes Tuff is her sister, she would REALLY dislike her. She’s so… brutish and uncouth compared to her Canterlot unicorn friends, and so rude- just barging into a private event like that? She certainly doesn’t have an invitation! She’d actually end up having security kick Tuff out, and poor Tuff would have to wait another few days to actually talk to Swanky, who would continually rebuff Tuff’s efforts by ignoring her
But Tuff is persistent, and, well, tough, and eventually gets Swanky to listen to her. She’d try desperately to explain that she’s Swanky’s sister, but would be met with a cold laugh and a call for security- Swanky is the daughter of a celebrity, after all, and she thinks this is just some random delusional pony or someone playing a cruel prank. Her sister died in birth, and she was a pureblood unicorn, not some dark-haired pegasus mutt.
But she wasn’t. Tuff, frightened by the approaching security, blurts out that her mother lied, that she cheated, and Tuff was the result- but Swanky would hear none of it, and in fact, now she’s offended. Again, Tuff is taken away, and this time given orders not to speak to Swanky again. She’s crushed.
That night, Swanky talks to her mother about this strange pony claiming to be her sister. The strangest part, she’d say, is that it wasn’t even a unicorn, it was a pegasus!
At that, her mother’s smile and laugh seem a little too forced. She immediately changes the subject. Swanky, curious as ever, tries to ask her what’s wrong, but is sent to her room, suddenly in trouble. What’s going on? That pony, she seemed to know something Swanky didn’t, and she hadn’t seemed like she was joking. The curiosity ate at her.
Days later, Tuff would be approached by a curious Swanky, bearing an apologetic coffee and a notepad. What does she know? Tuff would jump at the opportunity to tell Swanky all she knew about her origin, where she came from, who her father was- the most she’s ever talked about her past. Swanky would be in complete shock. She wouldn’t believe it at first, but there was a real chance that this pony, Tuff Love, was her missing sister. She insisted she was.
They would talk for hours, about their relief, their shock, the feelings of betrayal. Swanky wouldn’t be able to believe the things Tuff has been through. You mean you’ve neverhad a sleepover? A pillow fight? A movie night? You’ve never went to an amusement park? With a fiery kind of justice in her eyes, she would assure Tuff that they would take care of that immediately, and take her hoof.

And here’s some extra notes!
- Tuff is Swanky’s older sister by two years, she’s just REALLY SMALL. Pegasi are the smallest pony breed, but Tuff’s an exceptionally small pegasus, and Swanky would like to tease her for that
- Tuff and Swanky would take a long time to adjust to the other, especially Swanky to Tuff- she’s kinda… feral, and unafraid of getting her hooves dirty, which is in sharp contrast to Swanky’s prim-and-proper lifestyle. Ultimately, though, her wildness becomes endearing to Swanky (even though it’s still kinda weird how she scratches her ear with her back foot what are you Doing)
- Once they got used to each other, though, they’d end up getting along really well, and Tuff would assume her Protective Big Sister role readily (even though she’s teensy)
- Although they’re half-sisters, having the same mother, you’d never be able to tell by a glance. While Swanky is a completely pureblooded unicorn, Tuff is a pegasus mutt, because her unicorn genes were diluted by her mixed-breed father’s. Tuff’s father had mostly Earth pony and pegasus blood, and she takes after him more than Fleur.
