Description Woomy! Man, I need to play as these guys some more, their moveset is really creative given what they bring from their origin series. Remember to booyah back! ...unless everyone else is setting up a squid party in an important match, in which case you don't have to tolerate that. Individual pics here!

I mean, there's nothing inherently WRONG with hem, I just wish they'd keep 'em to friend matches. I did not consent to this squid party, I wanted to get some coinage and pop my equipment skills and you're actively making that more difficult!! >:T

Fair point there. That has happened to me multiple times on Turf Wars. It's like the battles are filled with trolls, and I don't use that loosely.

I feel bad for anyone in the Rank Battles and League Battles with that in mind.

Trolling isn't even the limit of the shenaniganry, it can get worse. I saw a video once of a ranked battle back in the first game where the other team was squid partying in order to lower the guard of the video creator's team and splat them all and overwhelm them. I never played ranked back then and still don't so I wouldn't know how devastating that could be, but still that's a dick move. And even low-stakes matches being thrown by a damn squid party drives me nuts. I splat opposing team people whenever I catch 'em trying to squid party and I even smack my teammates with the roller out of annoyance of them not doing their damn jooobbbbb. >:T

All on video as well. That almost reminded me to much of what happened when Chuggaaconroy's lp on the first Splatoon, right at the start of the battle. Ouch.

I don't remember that happening during his playthrough, though considering I haven't watched it since it was first released and the commonality of impromptu squid parties, I wouldn't doubt that it did.

Well it sadly did at one point. It was on the Art Museum map, that he had to redo in the video since his teammates at the start didn't bother moving from the spawn-point.

I miss the art museum map, it was cool.

Same. Yet they brought back Moray Tower in the sequel and in Smash Ultimate... the most 'famous' stage that isn't exactly loved for a few reasons.

...is it bad that I actually kinda enjoy Moray Towers? And I'm not even a charger user, which is what everyone claims the map is best suited for. Rollin' down the ramps and getting the whole thing covered in one go is just weirdly satisfying to me.

That I won't argue, that map is really good for the Chargers and Rollers.

Actually now that I think about it: Is there a map that is worse to you, or considered worse?

Honestly, I don't remember liking a lot of the Shifty Stations. Like the concepts for a lot of 'em were really interesting, but they tended to have a specific element that were either set up so that if one team got access to it then the game was already won or have complex mechanics that one day was not enough to fully grasp. I literally only figured out how Bridge to Tentaswitchia (the one featured in the Hare v Tortoise Splatfest) works while trying to look up which variant I was gonna be talking about, I never even knew there was a switch and that the bridge moving was done manually. 8T I can't think of any regular rotation maps I have a problem with atm, though maybe the ones I did have a problem with were those that never got brought back in the sequel and that's why...

Fair point with those.

Aaaaand going through the first game's maps reminded me that I was never really a fan of Bluefin Depot, though that was mostly down to rollers not having the vertical jump splash until 2 and thus I had to rely on my other teammates inking the walls in order to have any mobility past a certain point. If it'd been included in 2 I probably would be less annoyed with it, and the single player levels that too place there weren't too bad iirc, but yeah. Not a roller-friendly location.

Oh those walls in that stage, even worse if someone had the mines side weapons and really wanted to be super evil... Back when those were one-hit k.o.
