Description
The Cat and the Fiddle.Thomas plays a mournful melody in remembrance of his beloved soulmate who was caught by a string maker only days before. Unable to bear the weight of grief at losing her, the last thing he could do was steal the strings woven from her gut. He now plays to remember her as they can be together in song.

I completely agree with the storytelling part! I wrote a short story a few years ago where a girl made violin strings out of human intestine(I won 1st place in a school contest from it XD).
I think your play in words is very clever, and it makes it that much more tragic. Hopefully others can appreciate the wordplay, but even if they don't, the mood is very clear from the picture.

Oh thank you! i'll tell you a little secret, it's just as easy as getting some rough pencil/natural media brushes and collecting some fun textures. After that, you just play with gritty colors and you get really grungy effects. 
Also we need to hang out, I've been back in Cali for about a month now and i've been too reclusive! i'm going to see about a trip down to anaheim for october festivities. my friends and I are all talking it over.
