"So, if you don't remember; at the start of last year (2022), I got inspired to make a Ratchet and Clank AU (since hyperfixation thanks to getting the DVD of the movie in November) of Cinderella after 2021 was filled with adpatations for them.
AND HISTORY REPEATED ITSELF CAUSE 2022 HAD THREE DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE CLASSIC ITALIAN STORY: PINOCCHIO!

And since in 2022, I got into a fandom about puppets that came to life via magic, it's no wonder I decided to create this AU.

The basic AU story goes like this:
Owen Gubberson was a lonely man, dedicating his life to his pride and joy: his four puppets, and sharing them with the small village for the children; the Handee family! Consisting of Mortimer (the father), Dasiy (the mother), Nicolas (the eldest son) and Riley (the youngest daughter). One night, a blue fairy arrived into his cottage and brought the puppets to life in order to give Owen a family. And at first, things were going well... But outside of Mortimer, the rest of the puppets felt unfurfilled by their wooden bodies and snuck out to explore the human world, discovering a new reason to be alive... But after bad results from their expereinces, the trio get scolded by Owen and espeically Mortimer; saying they should throw their dreams away since they can't get them as puppets. So, the trio decide to go and find the fairy to turn them into human. HOWEVER, Mortimer catches on and stops them before they cross the bridge to travel the world; and while trying to return them home...the family begins their own adventure of a lifetime. Meanwhile, Owen gets to open up to new friends (the people the puppets felt an impact on) as they join him on the quest to find him.
I will say that the rest of the story is roughly the same; a evil mastermind kidnaps one of the puppets to make into a slave, they wind up on a isolated island where they partly turn into Donkeys, get swallowed up by a monsterous whale and sacifice their lives to the point of being reawarded. But, there are some things that I want to keep secret as I may or may not write it for the summer fanfic (or just a regular fanfic). But, I will say that one nasty character from the original game gets a bit of a remdemption arc in this story..."

And today, we have Riley Handee, aka Riley Ruckus as the young daughter of the puppet family and the smallest puppet out of the family ^^
The intelligence of the puppets, Riley got bored of the old books in Owen’s home, Riley decides to explore the town and discovers the local school, teaching things such as science and maths, instantly getting her attention. But after being bullied by the rough kids for being a puppet, nearly being pulled apart; she’s kicked out and banned from the school. But in her walk back home, she discovers a stray puppy that she names Rosco; who becomes a very important figure in the human rescue team. Once human at the age of ten, she stays with Owen as his surrogate daughter to enjoy a childhood of going to school, planing on bringing back Mortimer with science, as well as adopting Rosco; who’s licks helped bring back the fairy to revive her
Like Daisy, I based Riley’s outfits on the attire the protagonists of fairy tales would wear to change her science lab coat into a more fantastical costume; but I did base them off the outfits GUYS would wear since Riley’s the tomboy of the kids. And yeah, as human, she becomes a 10 year old girl so she can go to school and study all the new science and subjects it could teach her; where she becomes Owen’s proper daughter as a ironic reference to Midnight Show.
