So, since in my “fan series”, what would have been the fairy mascots (the Tim’s) are mainly the transformation devices, there needed to be a supporting tutor character to replace that particular role. Kinda like how in Delicious Party Precure, we had Rosemary.
And since this is basically a BWW AU, our Rosemary type character is Balan himself!

Who else would it be…?

Now, here’s how Balan would work in my Precure AU.

As the Positive Maestro, Balan has the magical powers of positivity, helping people regain their happiness as well as to protect their hearts from negative emotions. He also has the duties of protecting and looking after the Tim’s. But when Lance starts attacking the humans and their heart, Balan must take a leap of faith and leave Wonderworld. Exploring the human world is a bit exciting, but with the help of Emma and her new friends, they help him get adjusted to the human world. Emma’s family allows him to stay at their mansion in their guest bedroom and he even gets a part time job at Emma’s school as a drama teacher and substitute arts teacher; much to her shock.
For the fights, Balan mostly focuses on making sure that nearby civilians and bystanders don’t get caught within the cross fires of their fights against the Negati and Lance. But does fly in during the tougher battles, especially when Lance tries to get involved to harm the precures that Balan slowly starts to see them as family. A very dangerous thing for a Maestro…

In his magical forms, there are his two main forms of them; his true Maestro and humanoid forms. His humanoid form being the form he appears in most in the AU/fanseries, since it’s anime lol and he wants to make his new friends more comfortable; only turning into his Maestro form during battles as being in his humanoid form takes up his magic and it’s a magic trade off. How may also notice his outfit having glitter in his Maestro form but not his humanoid form… Well, to make him less magical and therefore blend in more with humans. Despite the elf ears and white skin.
The glitter on his outfit then gets added onto the cures during their team and upgraded attacks, along with the cures getting their own capes; the major team attack has him also joining the group.

And you may have noticed the Heart piece in between both forms. Well, as less spoiler explaination; unlike the humans who have a full heart piece, Balan (and Lance too) only have half of a heart piece…

Why?

Again spoilers! But notice that Balan’s heart piece is full of positivity and optimism! And is the larger of the two heart pieces.
