for the extra characters of the felt puppet crew

So...
If you're not as into Hello Puppets as I am, you may not recognise these three. That's because they're very small characters who are part of the sidequest challenges during the main gameplay parts of midnight show; where you could help find items for these three puppets and in return, they'd reward you with prizes that can reveal lore and stuff. Basically, you can find Olive in Riley's level, Tommy in Nick's level and Kookie in Daisy's level. And these guys were little prototypes of felt puppets a member of the studio heads made to try and convince (aka force) Owen into transitioning from wooden puppets to felt puppets with animatronics and battery operated radios so they wouldn't need puppeters. A VERY revelent commentary from a game about puppets and puppeters with daddy issues considering this came out during the raise of AI Art.

But, this got me thinking; why were they made in the first place?
My theory? They were replacements.
More speificially, replacements for Riley, Nick and Daisy respectively.
It makes sense; Mortimer Handee is the titular character after all, so they can't fully replace him, but the other characters can be replaced, espeically since there's more instentive to do that as not only are the wooden puppets too expensive to operate, but Owen (who puppets Mortimer) hates how the other puppeters portray his characters to the point of redubbing them (hello Nick Nack my poor baby). So, these three were propably planned to be introduced as assistants to their repestive puppets; before slowly taking over and flat out replacing them. Even tho those characters were still popular with kids and had merch.

This is where they come in during my view of the Muse AU
When Owen managed to successfully bring Mortimer, Nick, Riley and Daisy to life thanks to the book; these already made puppets were also brought to life by accident, but Owen wasn't aware and locked them up in storage (like the scout puppets). This trio however had the magic effect their technology, which is how they were brought to life. But now with no purpose, they just sad around in the storage room as they couldn't move around thanks to no legs.
One day, while I was slowly transforming into a wooden puppet, I hid away in storage when I overheard their robotic voices; I break open and rescue them, relating to their identity crisis and I secretly taking them in. Using my old skills from school, I craft them little legs and boots taking inspiration from their old idols. But upon having finished bodies, the trio booked it into hiding as they were scared of being taken apart by Owen as despite being "dead" and locked up, they could sense his hatered for them. So, they hide in the vents and underground of the floorboards, never wanting to be found again; but do secretly want to return to me.
Therefore, when they were eventually found by Vee; they built a secret friendship with her, where she wanted to reintroduce them to the Handeemen, saying they could find a place in the show. And after a tearful reunion with Starla, the human sized puppet demands to Owen that he can look past their origins and let them join the show; saying that if she can be a handeeman despite originally being human, then so can these robotic voiced puppets.
So they joined the crew, mainly as side kicks for Riley, Nick and Daisy respectively, the wooden puppets really enjoying the help and finding them adorable with their robotic voices. Heck, even Mortimer got jealous that he didn't get his own puppet sidekick.

Olive - A little sarcastic and bit pessimistic due to the time spent locked up, she tends to be a little jealous of the fame her mentor Riley has and does secretly want to follow through her original purpose of being a replacement, but can't go through with it due to her new found family.

Tommy - The ultimate sweetheart, Tommy has no intention in replacing Nick's role as NN as his mentor has helped him get comfortable with his robotic voice as he feels insecure about it; along with teaching him how to dance to help him try and whoo his crush. (untilnickfindsoutWHOlol)

Kookie - One of the more neutral members of the trio, Kookie isn't too bothered about replacing Daisy as the pair have a decent relationship, but is still mad how they had to rot away in the storage due to Owen, so while not wanting to harm the puppets, she wants to harm the humans...
