Description:
Gwen is a technician under the Argent Union’s employ, and one of Venin’s oldest (and only) friends. She acts as the eyes and ears for many specialists in the field, Venin included, usually from the safety of headquarters, or in the truck in the back - in the rear with the gear, so to speak. She is a generally fun-loving girl, if a bit of a scatterbrain, and enjoys playing pranks of the “tight and suggestive” kind on her friends, namely one purple-haired snoop in particular…

Story:
Gwen has always been a fan of technology and science. While she wasn’t top of her class, on account of her short attention span, the passion was there, as was a deep-rooted interest. However, Eis was limited in its technology education, and when combined with her family’s dislike of cold weather, they moved to Varie to have a better time with long beach fronts and warmer climate, not to mention some of the best schools in Argent.

Sometime between leaving Eis and meeting Venin would Gwen find an interest in modeling, quickly becoming under the employ of one Thomas Crystalline. Gwen would rise to be one of Crystalline magazine’s favorite models, and while she enjoyed her new side-gig, it didn’t scratch the tech-related itch she had…

Gwen met Venin by chance several years later. Gwen, now living with her dad after her mother moved back to Eis to be with Gwen’s grandmother, ran into Venin in a kink store, of all places. In actuality, Venin looked like not only a fun target to tease, but also like someone who seemed a little lost. Gwen quickly took it upon herself to fulfill both of those, and the two happened to hit it off very quickly - perhaps due to Gwen’s friendliness, or Venin’s desperation to finally have a proper friend.

With a background in tech, a profession in it only made sense. Gwen was able to secure a very in-demand job as a technician for the Argent Union - in particular the Security and Protection branch. However, it was mostly as a maintenance worker, something that, while it scratched her itch for a time, was rather boring when it came down to it. But when Venin became a specialist at the behest of Dr. Qowld, Gwen was able to arrange for a transfer to the Intelligence and Counterintelligence branch - the same branch that Venin now worked for, and headed by Dr. Qowld himself. Union Security was quite reluctant to let her go, and it was in fact only thanks to the efforts of Qowld that she was able to transfer at all…

Now as part of the Intelligence branch, Gwen’s job expanded to directly helping Venin’s own work - be it through refining and upgrading her gear, or providing tactical support on missions. This change suited Gwen perfectly - it was always the tech heads back at base who were the unsung heroes in the spy films, after all. And Venin getting the spotlight was no biggie…

Especially if said spotlight left Venin tied up and flustered as often as Gwen hoped it would~

Abilities:
Gwen can generate electricity in her hands, mainly through her fingers and palms. While this cannot be used as a projectile, it can be used to power things for a bit - It's pretty handy for a tech-head to have an on-demand source of electricity. It can also act as a sort of last line of defense, as taser-hands are not pleasant for any would-be attacker. However, Gwen doesn’t like to fight, so would really only use it in combat if Venin or herself was in dire trouble.

Tools:
A Fuyu model II type laptop, customized by Gwen herself. It has capabilities well beyond any regular laptop, thanks to the addition of a Tint generator, and is how Gwen conducts most of her work.
Numerous tools for her job as a technician, kept in her laptop’s case most of the time. Her lab at Intelligence and Counterintelligence has even more.

Trivia:
- Her surname, Cobalt, refers to a beautiful blue color.
- Despite being born in Eis, both of Gwen’s parents were Varien. As such, Gwen has a Varien accent, with only a hint of Eis in it.
- Gwen has had cat ears since she was a child. She adores cats, and had cat ears granted to her using Tint for her 9th birthday, and has had them and tended to them carefully ever since.
- The ears actually make it easier for cats to get along with her… funny how that works, huh?
- Gwen works as a technician for the Argent Union, specifically the Intelligence and Counterintelligence branch. She used to work for the Security and Protection branch, but transferred to Intelligence once Venin started working for them as well… even if Security weren’t keen on letting her go.
- As a tech-head for Security, Gwen’s job was mostly maintenance. However, as part of Intelligence, Gwen takes on a more active role, helping Venin and other specialists with their equipment, as well as providing tactical support to them on missions in the form of eyes-in-the-sky, hacking support, directions, and just someone to talk to on stakeouts.
- Gwen is technically considered a specialist, in particular a tactical specialist. It’s this distinction that allows her to help Venin on missions, as a regular techie wouldn’t have the clearance for such a job. Once again, the work of Dr. Qowld~
- While she has her main job as a techie, she is also a lead model for the Crystalline fashion and bondage magazine. The place is headed by Thomas Crystalline, and is the same place that Venin occasionally models for a while - in fact, Gwen was the one who got her into the whole business~

Behold, the debut of my newest OC, Gwen! She already made an apperance in the story Something that Really Suits You, but her first apperance dates all the way back to A Night to Remember, even if her first official tease was in Venin Stuff-Gagged in Sequence, as the mysterious gloved hands! XD

Gwen will be joining Venin on the side of good XD And it's about time too! Venin needed a proper canon friend outside of collabs, and Gwen is to fill that void! As much as she's a non-combatant, don't worry, as there'll be plenty of ooportunites for her to be tied up alongside the purple-haired snoop we all know! XD
