Description:
Escapologist and infiltrator both, Venin is a specialist for the Argent Union, and the protagonist of Argent. Her job is to sneak into long-derelict Capturing Incorporated facilities, to find and disable any technology that might be running rampant, securing it for safe recovery. This is mostly done through… a hand-on approach

Story:
Venin was raised at an orphanage in Varie, having never met her parents. Facing discrimination and downright hatred from one of the keepers of the orphanage (mainly from a woman named Zaya), she left at the age of sixteen, taking odd jobs to keep herself afloat for a few years while she lived in a relatively modest suburb in Varie’s city outskirts.

With a sense of right and wrong too powerful to ignore, Venin would frequently intrude on problems not her own, most of the time leading to the authorities arriving and handcuffing her. While she would always come up as innocent, this would have a big effect on her - mainly, it served as her introduction to bondage, and she would practice on her own on occasion.

It was on her way back from one of these odd jobs that Capturing Incorporated (or C.I) had its first resurgence. At the time, Venin was shopping, and she was just leaving a clothes store when a swarm of drones emerged from a nearby pothole and began firing ribbons at anyone nearby. Being so close, Venin was caught almost immediately, falling to the ground, unable to get up due to being wrapped in ribbons. There she remained for almost an hour, telling herself not to enjoy it, until finally help arrived in the form of Doctor Lekmarus Qowld; a doctor and official within the Argent Union.

Dr. Qowld asked Venin to accompany him as a witness, to an emergency Union meeting to discuss the resurgence of C.I tech. Venin came along, having little to do otherwise, but before the meeting took place, she couldn’t take it any longer. In the hotel room she had been lent, she performed self-bondage, but was unable to get free in time before Qowld arrived back to bring her to the meeting.

Dr. Qowld was wary at first, but when Venin explained the situation - that there was no attacker, and she had handcuffed herself because she… well, enjoyed it - he didn’t seem annoyed, rather… satisfied? Later, he revealed that the Union was in need of specialists to delve into C.I facilities and try to prevent further resurgences, and Dr. Qowld believed that Venin would make the perfect candidate. She enjoyed bondage, she had a love of action and spy films, she was relatively athletic and healthy… in Qowld’s mind, all the boxes were ticked. And it was a more stable job for Venin, better paying than most anything she had been doing upt to this point.

So Venin accepted the offer, accepting the training that followed, and became a specialist to try and deal with C.I’s resurgence. It’s in this line of duty that she would meet Cobra and Rook - better known as Sarren and Celeste - in the depths of a C.I facility, and she would cross paths with them several times over the course of her new career.

Tools:
Sorrow: shock pistol that fires tiny discs that deliver an electric shock to the target, easily knocking out electronic systems and temporarily disabling most people. It has a 12 “round” magazine, and an integrated silencer. It was given to Venin when she became a specialist.
Hardlight-shield glove: Once a simple woollen glove, it has been reinforced and augmented with a tiny Tint generator, allowing it to create a hardlight shield to defend against bullets, blows, most electricity blasts, and some Tint projectiles. Venin’s favourite piece of equipment~

Personality:
Venin is shy upon first meeting, as she is naturally distrusting of strangers (although this can quickly be fixed should they have chocolate on them) Aside from that, she is nice enough. She can be a bit awkward in conversation, leading her to be quiet more often than not. That said, if she’s with someone she can trust, she opens up a lot more, and is downright talkative at that point!

Trivia:
-   Her taken name comes from the French word for venom (“venin”). Her surname, Aubin (which she still uses), is derived from the Latin “albus”, meaning bright, or white.
-   She LOVES milk chocolate (probably a bit too much)
- Has a habit of minding cats in her house in Lazuli.
-   While she enjoys gaming, she's... not that great.
-   Venin loves cold weather and hates being too warm. As a result, she keeps her bedroom several degrees colder than the rest of the building.
-   Venin only wearing one glove is a reference to her time in the orphanage, when other kids would get two gloves for garden or snow work and Venin would always be last in line (due to her name beginning with a “V”), only getting one glove a lot of the time. Despite this, she actually prefers only using one, and says that it's quite calming.
-   She has somewhat of a bondage kink, mostly by accident. Her job as a specialist is helping her discover more about it, if nothing else~
-   Her belly is easily her most ticklish spot.
