Okay... this is my first try at making a regular Sora pic pretty with an interesting layer-induced background.I'm still sloppy with my layers (I.E. forgetting to change them so I'm in the RIGHT one...) but getting the hang of em!
I was mostly experimenting with the grass textures and the lighting and stuff. I know it sucks. The sky isn't the best either, but you know what? I don't give a fig!
The grass would have been better if not for the weird lighting. I tried two diff methods and neither is quite right, though I didn't want to have it totally normal looking. So it is what it is.
All in all dun look too bad. PROBABLY should have made Sora lineless, but I REALLY didn't feel like it. As it is, it took forever!

emm...!!! thats interesting!!...its different than usual...the colours are not as bright, but look much smoother, softer and more shiny ...not sure how..but like ..his shoes. emm... yep...i could get used to that!...

Yeah, layers suck! I have a hard time remembering every single one because in the end you have...like....50 different ones! >.<

Heh thanks! They do definitely beat having to construct a background in a totally separate image, and then having it not match up and having to either make do or redo it though!

But this reminds me of the very beginning of Chain of Memories, (or perhaps the very end of KH?) where Sora is standing on... that... road... yeah.

Something about Sora's facial profile is striking me as off, but other than that I think the pic is gorgeous! I love the coloring in the sky and the grass came out great!

It might be the lighting on his cheek... shading and highlighting peachy skin tones is HORROR!!! Yes, I said it XoP
His nose was giving me some trouble but I thought I cleaned it up pretty well, considering I had to tweak it on the computer.
I am fairly happy with the sky if I do say so myself, though the grass irks me still LOL It's the stupid lighting on the grass, mostly.
