Like many others, I love the lighting in this. Am I right in thinking a snooted strobe to the background, and an umbrella a little to your left side firing back?

The background light isn't snooted at all. It's just a big oldskool photo light that was made in the 1960's. It has a thich glass diffuser on the front of it and gives out a powerful, warm light. Coming from the same direction, but flagged, is the main light source from a medium sized softbox.
