Description
After shooting Dr Ignatio Metz, Takkata-Jim went inside the long boat for takeoff preparation, and Metz's special Stenos dolphins left to search and kill Toshio.

Incidentally, Toshio and Charles Dart were already hiding near the long boat, and witnessed the whole exchange.

Before dying Metz told Toshio that not only Takkata-Jim stole navigational data that led back to the spaceship graveyard, but kidnapped several of the local pre-civilization natives, Kiquis, as offerings in exchange for letting Streaker go.

If allowed to carry through, this incident would leave an indelible stain on Earthling Clan's reputation among the Galactics. It would prove right those who were critical of Earthlings: losing control over client species, producing a client that was capable of such cowardly act, forsaking the patron's sacred duty to find and uplift pre-civilization lifeforms. (Kiqui would be the first client species to be adopted out of home solar system.)

Metz pleaded Toshio and Dart to rescue the Kiqui hostages and stop Takkata-Jim.

There was not a lot of time, since Stenos could return at any moment.
