Hi! This is my entry to "Artistic Journey" contest. I've not participated in any contests before, but this one caught me by its theme. I thought it would be interesting and began to draw. And a few weeks later i ended up with this picture.I hope the picture is self-explanatory. And I dont really want to explain everything, hoping that everyone will see in this picture something of their own.
But if you are curious i'll explain a little:
When i was creating this picture my thoughts was about some kind of magical place where is giant plant is growing. This plant feeds on the knowledge and experience of other artists. And if artist want to reach some heights and become closer to "stars" he have to put time and effort to climb on this plant.
Road to the top will be hard sometimes, sometimes easy.
Sometimes you even will meet the spiders of lazyness and other bad things that will try to catch you in cobweb. You will be making your own discoveries and will climb from one leaf to another in pursuit of the dreams butterfly.

Very awesome entry ... This is so many levels beyond my current skill level ... and I can only look at it with awe!
But can I still ask a (newbie) question ... This picture doesn't seem to contain outlines like those found in mangas. Is the technique used here called "impasto"?
