the three elements of the ring (heart, crown, hands) stand for the three things you can see written down in the photo. depending on how the ring is worn (right or left hand, heart pointing up or down) it indicates whether the person wearing it is still single (right hand, heart tip is pointing upwards), in love (right hand, heard tip pointing downwards) or married (right hand, heart tip pointing downwards); some also say it can indicate being widowed or unfaithful by wearing it on the left hand, heart tip pointing upwards

this is a really breathtaking picture. i did something similar for a photography class i was taking, but this one... sooo much better.
as for the ring itself, its an irish thing right? heart is love, hands are friendship, and the crown is loyalty, am i right?

I understand it, I bought a ring just like that for my wife when I proposed. I think Claddagh rings are one of the best symbols of love available. Nicely done!
