When I was in grade 6 I did a report on the Quagga. You never hear about them. I am not familiar with the Thylacine but I feel like I want to know more now. Awesome picture. Very inspiring with a great sense of humor
So sad that we are losing so many species...

freaking awesome. Quagga, Thylacine, Saber Tooth Tiger, and Dodo bird XD Excellent! not so many people know about the Quagga and Thylacine. XP The thing is Australians still see Thylacine in remote places, there just hasnt been any caught on film or captured in a very long time.

I think a Warrah or a Dire Wolf would have been more biologically fitting for the role of the dog, but does it matter? This piece is pure genius.

This is pure genius! Each extinct animal in place of the corresponding one in the story, the bolts and straps holding their stuffed bodies together and how wonderfully... grim it is?
Please forgive the pun. I don't often comment or fave DDs, but this one, to me, is just too good. Congratulations!

This is eerie. Why are the animals' paws bolted to each other's bodies?

ReverendAspen In reply to SkyJaguar [2010-03-30 03:40:25 +0000 UTC]
I'm assuming it's because they're stuffed.

Very clever concept! And you did a beautiful job capturing all the details of the animals.
I remember the Bremen Town Musicians pictures were all over the place back when I lived in Germany.

Such as interesting take on a classic fairy tale! The Cartoon Network channel has recent series of satirical shorts based on the Bremen musicians: [link]

That would explain what happened to the world's extinct animals. They boarded a boat and sailed to the edge of the world.

is that supposed to be an extinct animal version of this? [link]
