I'm sure there are some of you who remember this character. Though he ONLY existed in the pilot episode way back in the 80's. I'm pretty sure he was the most outrageous concept in the franchise. He looked like he belonged in a show for boys. Or a Metal CD cover. I came across the urge to draw him so I did. Only I made him a youngster. Implying that, if he were to be a part of the G4 universe, instead of being a human put under a curse, he would have always been a gargoyle. (I assume he's a gargoyle I have no clue what else he could be) So he would have hatched from an egg and everything.

My headcanon, Scorpan grows up to be the warden of Tartarus. His race is as old as the dragons and they live right along side each other. Gargoyles can also live as long as dragons for the most part.

A friend and I were trying to drum up ideas for a Scorgan origin story in the G4 universe. We came to the idea that as young Celestia and Luna were crusading about, ridding the wild landscape of its more hazardous inhabitants, they come across the gargoyle egg. Not really sure yet as to how other than they had to destroy some really big beast to get at it. They find the egg near by and think that it's a dragon egg so they take it back home. When it hatches though, they sure aren't greeted to a dragon! But an ugly, wrinkled, naked pink thing. They're both baffled but take it in stride. A bestiary helps them out and it becomes more apparent when his hair grows in.
