"Thanks for going up to Freezeezy Peak with me, Hightide. You really didn't have to."
"Not a problem," Hightide's step was easy and his tone jovial. "I figured you’d want the support."
"Heh, yeah, do I ever," Ollie grimaced. "I mean, with my luck, what are the odds I’ll just fall straight off the mountain?"
"The odd's ain't too high," said Hightide. "I mean, you've been practicing for months."
Ollie exhaled and nodded. "You're right, but still, this is my first time on wind speeds this wild, so for my own sake, I sure hope all of that practice pays off."
"I'd stake my necklace on it."
The statement was so blunt that Ollie felt his mouth open but no words leave it, astonished.
"Yeah...yeah well you...you really shouldn't take that up with you, you know." Ollie finally managed to say. He was trying to hide a warm smile but couldn't.
Hightide shrugged. "This thing is practically stuck to me," he said. "It's like my good luck charm, you know?" "So if anything happens to it, well I'm probably dead anyway."
"If you're dead then it isn't much of a goodluck charm now is it?"
"Hey I'm still here ain't I?" Hightide's question was more like a statement.
"Heh, yeah, you do have a point there Tide." said Ollie. "But as the saying goes, don't bring anything up to Freezeezy that you're not prepared to lose!" Then he had a thought. "Speaking of, what's with all this stuff you brought with? I told you you didn't have to bring anything, the lodge will accommodate you fine."
"Just some of the usual shit you'd feel the need to drag up with you to the top of some freezing cold mountain where windigoes used to make their home," Hightide tilted his head feigning deep thought. "Some snacks, a yo-yo, a book, a puzzle, a high altitude falling device made of strong cloth that slows your descent through the atmosphere through the creation aerodynamic lift-"
"Wait, wait wait!" Ollie stepped in front of his friend and stopped , wings half spread. "Did you just..." he looked at bag on Hightide's back. "You did not..."
Hightide pouted. "What"
"You cannot bring a parachute!" Ollie shouted.
"Is it illegal for a pony to bring a parachute?" The earth pony tilted his head, his smile brimmed innocent charm. Still his friend sneered. "What kind of stunt are you thinking about pulling...this time?"
"Hey!" Hightide lifted a hoof to his chest. "I know my way around a surfboard plenty well!"
Ollie shook his head. "Not over one thousand feet in the freaking air!" he sighed. "Seriously, dude, are you trying to kill yourself?"
“Um, no. That’s what the parachute is for. Duh.”

"The organizers won't allow it, you know," Ollie insisted. "You're not a pegasus, it's too risky, hell, it's insane!"

"And who said I was doing anything risky? I mean, come on, just going up to that place is risky, right?" Hightide smirked. "Who knows, a parachute might come in handy!"
“A parachute won’t do you any good.” Ollie said, and when Hightide tried to sidestep him, Ollie spread his wings wider. “And besides if you did this stupid thing, and get yourself hurt, or more likely dead, what am I supposed to tell your parents?”
Hightide rolled his eyes. “You’re not my babysitter, Ollie, geeze. You don’t gotta tell them nothin.”
He moved again to get around the taller pony, this time succeeding.
Ollie watched Hightide continue down the path for a few moments before catching up to him, his longer strides made it easy.
“Whatever bro. I’ll just say you really were blown off the mountain.”

And yes I called a mountain Freezeezy because I suck at naming things and Banjo Kazooie was on the brain.

I finally drew older Ollie Airwalk. His mane kind of look like a nostalgic video game character.
