There was so much multi-layered story potential in Breath of Fire II,... but so much of it fell short, especially the battle between Ryu and Barubary. Toward the end, it almost felt like he was there just to be there, when by all rights he should have been the central focus of the story.
And anyone else notice how the ongoing "search for the theif" just sorta... ends, with no real conclusion or payoff?
I love Breath of Fire II, and all its characters. Every single one of them arcs, and I love it. I just wish there was... more, especially when it comes to Ryu.
