I made it! It's still 2017 here so I still submitted it on time, I guess.

According to these forums I stumbled upon, it appears to be contested as to what HAM actually stands for.  I always figured HAM radios were named after these three pioneers of the technology; HAM are their initials, but it seems uncertain for some reason.  I wonder why?

Some facts don't add up, as one of the aforementioned pioneers wasn't even on the proverbial radar during the time the acronym first surfaced.  Interesting stuff, but what does that have to do with the new year?  It doesn't, but that's not the point.

I have my own fic idea (probably never gonna get around to writing it), and while he doesn't get much screen time, I do have a musk deer character who gets confused for a predator in disguise once.

Suffice to say, it does not end well...
