With Peter worn out and unable to fight any more, the horse had no difficulties swallowing him. At this point, the horse was actually savoring him: it slowed down to taste his legs as they passed over its tongue. Peter was unable to see anything, and the rest of his senses were overloaded. All he could feel was the slimy throat muscles squeezing his upper body. His ears were practically deafened by the squishing and gurgling noises. If there was any silver lining, it was the fact he couldn't smell anything due to all the mucus plugging up his nose.

The horse gave a few good swallows, which sucked Peter deeper and deeper into the throat. Once Peter's hips were passed the horse's lips, the horse let gravity take over by throwing its head toward the sky. Peter was left sliding uncontrollably down the narrow esophagus.

All Peter could move at this point was his feet and toes, which twitched in their last moments of freedom.
