Description
Being chased by a large lion was the last thing these women wanted to do, but they found themselves in that exact situation. They were being chased through an ancient structure of some sort. They climbed through every obstacle they could, but the lion followed them just a few steps behind.Β The lion gave a leap, tackling the nearest girl and sending her beneath his feet. The lunge brought his mouth close enough to the second woman. The mouth wrapped around her head, but she started to slip back out. The lion knew he would lose her, so in a quick reaction he threw the girl high into the air. He held his mouth open wide, ready to catch the woman when she came back down. He caught her in a rather odd position, but it didnt stop him. His tongue danced around the prey, covering her in drool and slime. The lion's hunger over took him, and he finished the meal rather fast. The bulge shot down the throat, accompanied by a loud and fleshy gulping sound.Next image: [link]

Thanks!
There'll be more lion vore in the near future, I have another lion commission. And both stomach and intestines will be in that little series with Rae (where you ate the driver).

Slightly larger than a normal lion, but not by much. A little smaller than the lion shown here.

I also assume the main diet is human, but fatal or safe vore? (or both, as in situation depending)

Situation depending I guess
I figure that if the prey has a distinct personality or managed to miraculously survive a number of attacks that his/her buddies didn't, then safe (Doesn't have to be pleasant though)
Like the Red Head and the human here: [link]
Survivors like that really need a break from time to time. ^^

Thats kinda what I figured. If its a general no-body, then a good digestion is in order. The ultimate survivors are going to remain that way, even if that means a trip through a belly.

I figure that while Rae is an energy-eater by nature, his reformation abilities need something to fuel it - and ironically that requires hefty meals to digest to fuel. So when he does come across a prey that ends up being gurgled one way or another, he can't reform it if he's only been draining energy, and thus its lost forever.

Thats what I think. Taking energy from the prey is good, but its not as filling as fully digesting. Like eating a whole sandwich but only getting half of the energy from it. Shapeshifting must burn a lot of energy, so a fatal digestion, even from a small prey, will help greatly.

Well not quite. It's not filling in the same sense as eating a sandwhich or whatnot, but I get the energy faster and there's no worries about anything getting left out. Like bones or claws or fur is tough to break down and get at the materials composing them. Energy is wasted digesting things, and it takes a while for you to get energy out of it. Being an energy eater I get that energy the moment the prey arrives in my belly, and start getting something from my meal immediately. As long as its alive, its a constant source of nutrition, though once its been fully drained its no longer worth keeping in my stomach since I hardly get more than a trickle, as the stomach just saps the meager energy that the prey regains the moment it comes back. So at that point I've got two choices: Digest it and claim all the energy my prey has to offer, or regurgitate it and let it live to be eaten another day and thus remain useful to me in the future.
You're comparing Rae's digestive anatomy to that of a regular predator, which isn't the case here Like Jiri, I get more out of keeping prey alive than I do ending that life and making it my own.
As for the shapeshifting bit, that does drain my energy but it's not my physical energy that gets burned, the sort of energy that is expended when running or flying or swimming. The sort of energy digestion fuels. The energy I lose when shapeshifitng is my mental and spiritual energy, which exhausts me sure, but doesn't weaken me. Going without food makes you weak, using your magical powers tires you. Its a different kind of energy I'm burning up when I shapeshift, and its not something digestion can fuel at all. I can digest an entire Trex if needed, but it wont help me one bit when it comes to shapeshifting. That's something only my energy-eating can fuel. I go too long without eating something, I get weak. I go too long without draining something, I lost my ability to shapeshift. It can't be all one or the other

I get it now.
It is two different things, ones mental and the other is physical.
How would that work with the trex? If that form is energy eating only, wouldnt he be one tired rex?

Pretty much. Although when shifting between my various forms, I hardly lose any energy. If I do a lot of shifting in a brief period of time, it stacks up very quickly though. Rae can shift into any creature he's seen physically (Merely seeing a picture doesn't work), but it tires him greatly and expends almost all of his magical energy to do so - regardless of what creature it is. Shifting into his own official forms doesn't tire him as much. Another note is that Rae retains his unique coloring only when shifting into his official forms (Blue mouth, red skin, etc). Shifting into say an Aquadon if he hasn't acquired that form officially will make him indistinguishable from other Aquadons - one wouldn't be able to tell him apart from the others, aside from the obvious bits that it can speak and is slightly smaller than the others. In doing so he'd definitely need to drain a large meal to make up for the shift he just pulled off.
My Trex is the same as all the others - Energy Eater primarily, digestion as a backup.
I don't need to digest often since the energy eating funds enough of my physical energy to get by, so digestion is really just that - a backup plan

PWRof3D In reply to RaeThalis [2013-03-22 06:31:32 +0000 UTC]
Well, no worries with finding meals as the aquadon to make up for the lost energy, considering the aquadon eats everything.
So after a long day of running through the city to get away from an Aquadon, digestion might be used to keep you ahead of it...
