Description
I’d been dating Amanda for just over a year. She was a great girl: funny, kind, and willing to take risks. Her one major flaw was that she had a bit of a temper. I was constantly telling her to let the little things go and not to get so upset over the small stuff. Unfortunately for me, she was secretly getting more and more fed up with that expression.....One summer day we’d been driving to pick up some groceries when some idiot starting tailgating us. It went on for about a mile, after which he finally made his turn, but Amanda was furious over it. She ranted about it once we got home for a solid twenty minutes. When she finally paused for breath I suggested that she just let it go. After all, nobody wound up getting hurt, so it was all okay, right?
Big mistake.
I swear her eyes starting glowing red and the temperature dropped twenty degrees. What I didn’t know at the time, of course, was that Amanda was a witch. And her anger management issues meant that she had a habit of being.....hasty with her magic.
“Since you like that expression so much, “Claire”, why don’t you let go of your old life for a bit.” She said with a glare, snapping her fingers. Confused, I was about to protest when there was a flash of light.
My hair lightened from dark brown into a light reddish blonde, hovering in the air for a minute as it quickly wrapped itself into an elaborate Scandinavian hairstyle. My shirt and pants melted together into a colorful dress, with the bottom half turning green and the top being a royal blue. I shivered as elaborate patterns snaked their way onto the front of the dress; it was a bit on the skimpy side, and didn’t really keep the cold out. Wait, cold? Why was I suddenly okay with these changes?
My body continued to feminize, the dress now fitting me perfectly as breasts pushed outwards on my chest and my face feminized. Soft makeup appeared on my face and a necklace wrapped itself around my neck. Amanda looked me over and nodded in approval.
“Well Anna, I think you’ll have a good time telling other people to let it go for a change. The spell makes you act and think like you’ve always been a girl, so a couple weeks seeing how the other side lives won’t hurt you. Have fun!” She snapped her fingers again and there was a flash of light.
I blinked in the bright sunlight, realizing that I was suddenly standing in a theme park exhibit(it suddenly dawned on me that Amanda had turned me into an actress dressed as Anna from Frozen, and part of me chuckled at the pun) and people started trickling in. I wanted to get out of there, but I definitely wasn’t in control as my body started to smile and wave to the excited tourists. In the back of my mind I sighed as outwardly I began to tell a nearly arrived group a fairy tale.
I guess I had to let it go....at least for a while.
