I play as Medic quite a bit, and sometimes yeah, it seems like people are kind of ungrateful I've also gotten people who complain if I don't heal them fast enough. 
And I always thank my Medics, especially when I myself am playing as a Medic and am healed by another. Because not many Medics will heal another Medic if they see them injured. And I hate that. I'll always heal another Medic if I see them injured; that way they can go on doing their job just like I'm doing.
But I'm rambling, so I'll shut up now.

Actually, every time a Medic heals me, I feel like I should be saying Thank you. I actually feel kinda bad that I don't... but I wouldn't know how I would tell them Thank you. Voice chat? Um, no. Text chat? Does everyone really need to see me telling the Medic Thank you? So I rationalize saying "Well, the character thanks the Medic; maybe that's enough. ; __;"
But maybe I just feel that way because I'm almost always playing Spy, and I'm only rarely healed by a Medic, from my own team at least; partly because I'm hardly ever around my own team, and partly because many Medics just ignore spies. But anyways, I always feel bad for not thanking them.
So to all the Medics out there: Thank you.
