Description This one is very long, sorry
--------------------

"If me leg can fire bombs, I could have choked one down yer throat right now!" The Demoman warned the customer who was trying to get in the middle of the line of people who were bargaining for supplies. The man didn't like the way that one eye looked at him so he attempted to change the subject. "W-wha'ppened to your leg?" He asked him, Tavish averted his gaze and once again, he remembered. "If it wasn't fer that leg, there wouldn't be any people, gathering up in here..." The man was stumped, how could a leg be relevant to what this people want?

Hours passed, it was getting dark, Demoman was down for the rest of the day after that encounter with that man's curiosity. He can still recall like it just happened yesterday, he remembered his mother. Demoman was a man who believes in conspiracy theories as long it has a legitimate proof, one of them was the End of the World, or Doomsday, he had his money saved up, spent them to make an underground bunker just in case it happens, and it did. Him and his mother was underground for quite a long time, they only came out when they were running out of supplies.

He went out and saw something unexpected, it was foggy, he ventured further until it was zero visibility. He heard a voice, a faint call of his name. He looked around as if he's going to find someone in that fog, but actually, it was coming from above. "God?..." The one-eyed man asked in fear. "No, you foolish mortal!" The voice said then a four cornered-figure descended. It was a book. "I am the book of knowledge, I can tell you anything you want, but only one thing." It said. Demoman paused first. "Hey, are ye related to that bloody bomb-book who took me eye?" He interrogated. "No, of course not! But cursed books like our kind, gives...” it paused for anticipation. β€œand takes..." The Scottish man backed away, he didn't know what to think but he asked again. "Why are you here?". The book chuckled "Well, I sense the needs of mortals for knowledge, so I come to them, I feed them and they feed me, and then I sensed you.....you need food to survive, right?" Tavish was surprised and was getting nervous and realizing that he can't get away from the offer. "You won't be able to travel further with this thick fog, so, you give me what I want and I give you what you want, I'll also throw in getting rid of this humidity, what do you say? Deal?". He still doubted and scowled. "Fine! What do ye want?" The book would've grinned if it had a mouth. "I'll give you an abstract treasure in exchange of something concrete, in layman's terms, give up a part of your body..." The Demoman was awestruck, other than he had to give up another part of his body, he also didn't know which to give. The Book took his reaction as a rejection, but they already sealed the deal. "If you can't decide, then I will do it for you!" There was a blast of light. Tavish was blinded for a second, the fog was gone and it revealed a barren land, he felt nothing at first. "Hah! Looks like ye can't find anything on me that ye can t-" He started to walk but he ended up falling face first upon the dry ground. "AHK! ME LEG!" He clenched on his right thigh, and was about to cry when his mother interrupted who just came out of the bunker. "Be thankful ye still got yer eyesight!" He stared at his bleeding, missing limb and nodded. Luckily, there was a branch of tree laying around so he used it as a temporary crutch to get back to their shelter so he can wrap his severed leg.

From that day forward, Tavish never failed to find small food reserves and hidden stashes, every time he has this itchy feeling on his right foot that wasn't even there, it means there's something useful nearby. After his mother died, he was left with all the supplies he gathered. It may be a naive thought but he was planning to not waste them, so he started to trade his stocks with travelers and scavengers. He still had his Claymore to defend the storage if anyone attempts to steal them.
