A custom sakimichan-like sharped Photoshop brush and the finger tool, and here we go!
Since my entry for the Lightning Contest, I wanted to make another painting of her.
Lightning is such an awesome character to draw

Oohh, I love Lightning - she's such an awesome character in the Final Fantasy game series 
There's something soft and feminine about her in this drawing - even though she's capable of taking care of herself I bet that there may be times where she feels kinda fragile, especially when she fails. Anyway she looks really beautiful and I think you've done an amazing job with her!

Very nice! The face features are really well done! The lips are amazing, and I am particularly jealous of the nose (I am struggling with noses at the moment!).
Critique wise, I would say that it looks unfinished... You took such care and drawn the face features with such attention to detail and then just gave up on the rest. I mean, I do not mind the unfinished look, but if you took greater care with the armour and finished the neckline and maybe the bit just below the neck and then just let it remain unfinished at the sides, if you must?
Now, the top of the head is a bit weird... it's a bit too conical (or pointy...) and I am sure you can the issue with the parting, I cannot describe how to fix it, but I am sure this will help www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4KssW…
Shading of the hair.... Its a little bit of a mess if I am honest. Easiest thing to do is to colour it in one shade, this being digital best use a medium shade and then add in darker shades and highlights, I can see you have attempted that here, but there are just too many... less is more on this one, trust me! And on the curls, just give it a little thought in terms of shading, you have left too much highlight here, you need to highlight the bits of the curl that are sticking out and darken the parts further away from the front plane... I mean, I have had a look at some of your other work and I am pretty certain I am preaching to choir here, the only explanation is that you got overexcited about the perfect face features and rushed the rest... am I close?

I think you got the spirit of the whole drawing, but I have to say, the rough aspect was meant to be this way. If you check lots of other drawings in my gallery, you'll see they are pretty clean, but this time I wanted to make something more sketchy. It was supposed to be a speedpainting but it took me 3 hours to finish it...
But I must admit, I should have said it before posting in the forum topic XD
But it doesn't matter, your comment is an excellent advice, it'll help me to get a better render for the next drawings, even though I want to give them a rough side, I'll know what to do and what to avoid
