Description I'd like to thank all of those who commented and fav'd Serratias. She is my most popular piece of art ever, and I'm so humbled! Now, presenting the second of Doctor's super monsters... Chinook, the helicopter beast!

-----

Name: Chinook

Height: 45 Meters
Weight: 22,000 Tons

Powers:
-Heli-tentacles: Chinook’s arms and legs are specially designed to allow for flight, but not of the traditional biological variety. Part of each limb is actually composed of four tentacles. These tentacles are attached to unique skeletal and muscle structures, allowing them to rotate at incredibly high speeds. This allows Chinook to fly, as well as giving him buzzsaw-like and (when collapsed) lance-like weapons in melee. In order to “collapse” these tentacles, Chinook’s body can release a special chemical that stiffens them, reforming them as limbs. This process happens almost instantaneously.
-Solar Winds: Chinook is capable of releasing excess heat from his body via his spinning tentacles. This heat carries through the powerful winds created by the rotation, scorching anything that gets caught within them as well as knocking them all about.
-Powerful regeneration allows small wounds to heal over the course of a battle. Capable of regenerating severed tentacles within a few minutes, but larger wounds will take much longer to heal.
-Armor is actually a very strange biological addition created by Doctor Seijin, dubbed “bio-metal.” This bio-metal absorbs heat from sunlight, providing energy as well as excess heat for Chinook’s solar winds. In addition, the surface of this armor becomes very hot after long exposure, searing anything that touches it.
-Body has chloroplasts within its cells. This allows Chinook to absorb sunlight and photosynthesize for energy, providing him almost unlimited energy to power his flight.
-Unlike most monsters, Chinook is extremely intelligent, a gift bestowed upon him by Doctor Seijin. He has intelligence on par with a human, and is even capable of communicating with other monsters.
- Muscle and skeletal systems are incredibly flexible, granting extreme acrobatics and agility. Capable of flight up to Mach 4, and is a surprisingly adept swimmer. Despite his thin build, Chinook is more than capable of lifting heavy loads, easily able to carry a kaiju over vast distances.

Weakness: Chinook does not have as much sunlight to work with at night. This means that he has the chance to tire out faster without an almost unlimited supply of energy.

Biography:
The proto-type weapons to stop Doctor Seijin’s mind control were currently in the process of being built. The concept was to attach one of each to the sister ships (the Roc and Firebird), allowing them disrupt the alien’s mind control from relative safety in the sky. It would require a bit more time to be able to test out the weapons and after that, morph them into final products.

In the meantime, while the result was a tie, the first of Doctor Seijin’s three monsters had been defeated, but at a pretty hefty cost. Repairs began on Argelian, and a new mechanical arm was outfitted onto Argelian to replace the destroyed one. Further repairs and regeneration occurred, with no signs of Doctor Seijin or a new monster appearing. After a few weeks, Argelian was finally back on his feet and ready to go. Almost as if on cue, a new monster was spotted descending down from the sky into another heavily populated, coastal city, and COG immediately dispatched Argelian and the sister ships.

Details were scarce about the monster, so upon arrival, Argelian, Martin, and April were all surprised to see that the creature causing chaos was... Very alien looking. And right on time; the familiar voice of Doctor Seijin rang through their heads. He did not say much about this monster at all; he merely said that things are not as they appear with his monster, dubbed “Chinook”. His voice disappeared almost as soon as it appeared. Without Doctor Seijin explaining their foe like he had in the past, COG was completely unsure of this monster. They would soon find out what it was capable of.

With an otherworldly shrill, Chinook brought his arms up into the air, and his hands changed from lances to four tentacles! His wrists began to rotate, and within a few seconds, his tentacles were spinning like helicopter blades! The monster let out another cry and took to the air, immediately flying forward and smashing his foot into Argelian’s face. The cyborg crashed to the ground, but quickly rose up to his feet, only to see his foe’s left hand halt spinning and grab a hold of a nearby building. Spinning himself around, Chinook launched himself, right hand spinning like a buzzsaw, at Argelian. The hero barely managed to dodge as Chinook soared past him, touching down on the ground.

Spinning around, Argelian quickly launched a blast of energy, nailing Chinook in the face. Hissing in pain, Chinook stumbled back, unaware that Argelian was charging him. The monster cried out in surprise as the cyborg tackled him to the ground, proceeding to pound his fists into the monster’s body. Reacting quickly, the helicopter beast used his tentacles to grab a hold of Argelian, and using all of his strength, threw the hero to the side. Rising up to their feet, the two stared each other down, moving back and forth in an effort to get the other to flinch.

Suddenly, Chinook jumped into the air, taking flight and flying forward. Argelian prepared himself, bringing his arms up to parry as the monster’s tail came rising up, failing to deliver an uppercut to the cyborg. Chinook hovered backwards, eyeing up his foe, before proceeding to charge forward once again. Argelian took a defensive stance again, predicting a kick this time around, but the monster’s legs suddenly converted into tentacles! Grasping onto their foe, Argelian struggled to free himself as the helicopter beast performed an aerial front flip, slamming the hero down into the ground at the end of the stunt.

Released from the monster’s grip, Argelian slowly got up, still shell shocked from that last attack. Shaking his head, he realized Chinook had touched down a bit away from him. Chinook began stomping forward, intent on spearing the hero with his lance-like hands. The beast lashed out with his left hand, but Argelian dodged and grabbed it with his mechanical arm, keeping a tight grip to prevent the use of flight. Using his free hand, the hero slammed his fist into Chinook’s face and released the monster, sending him reeling backwards. Argelian ran forward and grabbed the monster’s head, proceeding to knee him in the face multiple times. The cyborg then flew up into the air with the disoriented helicopter beast in tow. Spinning around with head in grip, Argelian launched Chinook towards the ground. The monster tried to halt its downfall using its flight, but it was too late.

Chinook slammed into the ground, creating a large crater around him and kicking up dust and debris. The monster slowly rose to his feet before glancing up at Argelian. With a sharp glare, the monster took to the air, hovering a bit away from his foe. His feet suddenly changed, forming tips; his legs had effectively become lances as his hands had done! Flying forward, Chinook lashed out, Argelian struggling to dodge as the quick strikes continued to come. Soon enough, a powerful strike landed, knocking the alien out of the sky. The helicopter beast flew down, hovering over the area his foe had landed. Instead of waiting for the smoke to clear, his leg tentacles began to rotate, sending powerful winds downward. Argelian tried to rise to his feet, but the force of the winds was incredible, pinning him down with ease.

Chinook halted the assault and touched back down, hands still spinning. As Argelian rose to his feet, the monster aimed his hands at Argelian, once again bombarding the hero with hurricane-like winds. This time, however, the cyborg could feel heat within the winds. He soon cried out in pain as the scorching winds seared his flesh and armor, and eventually, the warrior was sent flying backwards, unable to keep his footing anymore. The winds continued, and Argelian was unable to respond back. It seemed things were becoming grim, but luckily, the Roc and Firebird intervened, nailing the monster’s hands with a barrage of missiles.

Momentarily stunned, Argelian quickly took advantage, leaping to his feet and firing his energy wave, sending Chinook crashing onto his back. The cyborg bolted forward and grabbed the monster by his legs, heaving him up into the air before slamming him back down onto his back. Chinook struggled to get up, as Argelian backed off. His gems began to focus their energy, but the helicopter beast’s arms began to rotate, and the monster took off in an attempt to avoid the incoming attack. Argelian fired the Hoseki Beam, but only managed to hit the monster in his right arm. The limb was blown to smithereens, and with only one hand going, the monster quickly lost control, desperately trying to regain it using his legs as additional rotors. But it was too late; Chinook smashed into multiple skyscrapers as he struggled to balance himself, before finally crashing down into the ocean.

Argelian and the sister ships waited for a few minutes, looking for signs of Chinook. There were none. Remaining to scout out the area for a few more hours, the three finally left, content that Chinook had been defeated, but unsure if he was killed.

Trivia:
-Chinook’s nickname is “Choppabro”, a nickname I came up with by combining Arnold Schwarzenegger’s pronunciation of “chopter” in Predator with the bro language.
-At one point, Chinook was intended to be able to use his legs as flight while he flies around using his arms as lances, in addition to using his arms. Unfortunately, the idea fell short when I was finally convinced via critique that he would not be able balance himself properly during flight, and it was ultimately scrapped.
-It is completely unknown how Chinook’s limbs are able to rotate as they do. It’s possible that Doctor Seijin and bio-metal have something to do with it, but this is only speculation.

That is one of the neatest kaiju designs I have ever seen. The helicopter arms as a flight device is pretty ingenious. I absolutely love it.

This one is definitely the strangest of all kaiju I ever seen. Copter hands are neat. In a way, its like Gigan's buzz-saw(in that its a rotating blade) which is neat and fresh.
Love it.
