Description A few things before the bio. First, I'd like to thank for lending me a hand with this guy. Second, this is the first monster I ever did with actual stripes in color, so it's a little "dirty". Overall, this pic was a real test for me, but I think it came out decently.

Name: Histion

Height: 35 Meters
Weight: 30,000 Tons

Powers:
-Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP): Histion’s hump is actually a pseudo-sail of sorts. Instead of being a location for fat storage, it is actually raised spinal vertebrae. This sail is capable of unleashing an electromagnetic pulse, interfering with all machinery within the area. This is particularly deadly against aircraft, which can literally fall from the sky when hit.
-Capable of surging electricity through its bite.

Biography:
After their encounter with Doctor Seijin, COG was on high alert. They had no idea when the terrible alien would strike again, and it seemed Argelian didn’t know either. When asked about his experiments, Argelian informed his friends that his nemesis’ experiments were appalling. The alien would take a lifeform and tinker with its genetic code, creating insane mutations, unlocking new powers, and awakening primeval tendencies the like of which humans never witnessed with their eyes.

It did not take long for the sirens at COG to start blaring. A new monster was sighted in the nearby region, and was heading towards a very large, populated area. Immediately, Argelian and his guardian ships were dispatched to intercept the new monster. When the beast was finally in sight, the cyborg touched down behind it while the aircraft circled overhead. The monster turned around and bellowed at the new arrivals. The beast was very strange looking; it was covered in fur like a mammal, but had the appearance of a reptile-like creature. The most distinguishing feature about this monster was its massive hump, located on the entirety of its back.

As Argelian and the pilots prepared for combat, they heard the sound of laughter! Doctor Seijin began speaking; informing them that he had finished his first experiment. When Martin questioned the alien about what this thing was, Doctor chuckled. He went on to explain; the beast before them had started out as a typical mammal, but like any good mad scientist, it simply wouldn’t do to just make a giant version of it. Instead, the alien tapped into the creature’s genetic code and mutated it with a special gas, switching on very ancient genes. The final result was the monster before them. The Doctor chuckled and wished the team good luck... And to not look down.

With a roar, Histion charged. Argelian responded by running forward, slamming his foot into the monster’s face. The proto-mammal cried out in pain as it stumbled backwards. The cyborg took advantage of this and leapt onto the beast, pounding his fist and raking his claws into the monster. The behemoth thrashed about, managing to knock the hero to the ground. As the alien began to rise to his feet, the beast spun around, smashing his tail into the hero’s back. Argelian face planted into the ground, shaking his head to get himself together. The monster backed off and let out a bellow before charging once more.

Argelian quickly jumped up and rolled to the side, avoiding the charge. With a switch of his gauge, the cyborg fired off a wave of energy. Histion roared in surprise as the beam smashed into his flank, sending him crashing onto his side. Argelian continued to fire the beam, sending the monster sliding across the battlefield. Upon cease firing, Argelian’s chest gem began to glow brightly, and he started to bring his arms up into the air. The monster rose to his feet and noticed this; the experiment let out a horrible, shrilling cry.

Argelian suddenly felt his mechanical arm and leg go limp, and he collapsed to the ground. He turned his head in horror to see the Roc and Firebird collapsing from the sky. The aircraft crashed into the ground as the monster began to advance towards the downed warrior. With a lunge, Histion latched down onto the cyborg’s left arm. The bite itself wasn’t very painful, but a wave of electricity began to surge from the beast’s mouth into the cyborg. Argelian cried out in pain as his body pulsated with electricity.

The hero’s mechanical parts finally regained stability, and he would not waste time. The cyborg’s gauge switched and he sliced his claws into the monster’s flesh. Recoiling in pain, Histion let go as Argelian sprung up to his feet. The hero launched a blast of energy, striking the creature’s hump. Crying out in pain, the beast struggled to stay on its feet. Argelian quickly closed in, but the beast cried out the same shrill as before, and he crashed down once more, his mechanical parts on the fritz. The experiment stomped forward and leapt into the air, crashing down onto the alien.

The monster latched its jaws around the cyborg’s throat and began to pulse electricity through his body. Argelian couldn’t even cry out in pain; his throat was clamped shut, and it seemed like this was going to be the end; his friends were downed, and his mechanical parts were failing. Suddenly, his mechanical arm came back online! Wasting no time, the hero switched the gauge and thrust his metal fist into the monster’s neck. The Chimerium blade shot outward, stabbing straight through the monster’s neck. The monster’s jaws went limp, releasing the hero from their vicegrip. Argelian retracted the blade and pushed the monster’s body off of him. Martin and April’s voices could be heard as they radioed to the alien, informing him that they were okay.

The cyborg turned to face the dead monster and suddenly went down onto his knee, feeling remorse. He knew this monster was not acting on its own. It was the result of a horrific experiment, and because of Doctor Seijin, it paid the ultimate price. He knew that if they were to stop the alien menace from wrecking havoc, they would have to prevent him from controlling his creations...

Trivia:
-Histion’s EMP is a tribute to the Dark Spiner from the Zoids series. The Dark Spiner is a Spinosaurus mech that used its spines to act as an interference device, jamming signals and releasing EMP’s to disable enemy Zoids.
-Tridactodon, the name of what was to be the next monster, was scrapped due to extreme frustration in the design process. Histion’s idea was essentially stumbled upon via a mix of rage and taking my dog for a walk.

It's amazing what can pop into your head while taking your dog out for a walk.

This guy is all kinds of neat. The fur looks great, and I really like the way the underbite makes his face look.

This one gets a major plus for originality. The electric powers work really well with this guys as I can imagine static bolts flicking through his fur.
