hopefully this is the last ref of her I'll need for a long time. At least 6 months to a year? Idk :TFor those of you who weren't clear on this, yes, she is my fursona/mascot/main character/erm whatever else people call it. pyon is always referring to me, onyx is referring to me or her. |D
still can be drawn as a dog if you do not like martens.
Her fur changes color very quickly. It starts to lighten in as little as an hour or two in under freezing tempuratures. For fun, you can dump ice water on her and to shock it into going white for a few minutes. You will die afterwards but WHOCARES PRETTY CHANGING COLORS.
umm that's it I guess! I really don't care about the colors. they're just warm gray and green, & I never use the same gray anyways (too much of a hassle) so why would anyone else? I am planning something special that will go hand in hand with this ref!! so yeah. q3q
crits are a-okay as usual. I kinda like what i made! (the full body anyways.) this isn't the best work I can put out but it feels like I actually know what I'm doing for once. C:

Essentially no. I will design characters for people (have done it in the past), but I have a long and nitpicky list of particulars about it, which doesn't make me a very good candidate for that kind of thing. Plus, I don't think my designs are really all that great! They're mostly based on natural animal patterns with a few tweaks in color, and I think you or anyone could do that without paying me.

Love the ears and the hair; your lines are so clean q___q -jealousy- And even as a relatively unshaded reference picture, the full-body shot is just so nice to look at~

Gotta love that character. The design is really nice and brings your attention to the face, a really cute one at that. The marten is awesome, too, very good choice of an animal, though I have to admit I want to draw the dog, it's just so adorably chubby! I really like the anthro's build, too, people usually draw ultra-skinny characters, it's nice to see a more realistic build.
As for critiques... The legs seem a bit short. The distance from the crotch to the base of the foot is the same as that between the crotch and the top of the head. The feet also seem small, but that is because of the shoes. The size is perfect, but you made the shoes stick too close to them. And the last one: the neck and head seem not to be fitting with the body. Look at this picture . See how the muscle creates those lines from each side of the jaw to the collar bone? That's what you should add,it's the lack of those lines that gives it that flat look.

her build is about the same as mine, I even used a picture of myself as a guideline lol. As a rule, I try to make all of my characters realistically built and I never draw stick thin should be anorexics. I'm happy to see that somebody's noticed! :3

The shoes and feet thing I actually noticed... been a while since I've drawn shoes q___q that's easy enough, I can fix that next time for sure! I'm aware of the head to crotch proportions and the 7 heads tall stuff, and when I do a quick check it seems to line up decently well. I think it isn't SO bad since I think the problem is I drew the pants without a ref (my.. that's a silly thing to say) and they're actually kinda hanging a little lower down? If you use THAT as the crotch line her legs look pretty short but if you use the line I intended they're decent enough. Stuff is a little funky anyways, so I guess I should be paying more attention in upcoming drawings.
I tilted my head at the angle I wanted for the picture, and I really didn't see those lines too prominently? I know they're there just.. they don't seem that prevalent unless you're really angling your head. I know that the marten head is a little weird, seeing as I think their heads are more squat than our human oval faces, but I think that the neck isn't the way to fix that? I'll do some more sketches and try some different things I suppose.

I don't see what people find appealing about those emacieted looking bodies. I don't know, they look like they're about to die, so it creeps me out when people glamourize it, but then again people glamourize lots of stuff they shouldn't.

Oh, I see, I really didn't think about the pants being low. About the neck, I tried adding that detail I think it did make a difference, even if irl it doesn't appear that much, could be just me though. I think the face is fine, maybe it's the way the neck connects? Usually it connects by the jaw, perhaps it's just that it should be a bit wider, since a Marten's head is more squat. Maybe that is what I feel is making a difference in the example, rather than the line.

I adore Onyx's colors, they are simply gorgeous~ ouo And using a marten as a fursona is really unique~

I personally love her full on warm grey and green coat on her best. ouo Warm grey is a fun color to use~ And the shade of green is just amazing~

thanks! I tried really hard to make her design eye-catching and a little different from the typical black/green character. I'm glad you like her species too; not many people know about martens and I think they're great animals.
