This is artwork for encounter #11 of the encounter short stories for my series Blackhaven Institution which is written below. The day Blackhaven Institution a house for orphaned children and unwanted infants burned to the ground mysteriously one day, the souls of those trapped inside became corrupted by an evil that warped them into demons that dwell in an alternate Blackhaven Institution.There they await those who are dragged into this alternate world by an unknown evil. The encounter with this nightmare “Minna" takes place in the "Orphan Wing" as follows:

Sarah Powell is over one of her friend's house after a drive from Dracove City into the town of Blackhaven for a small gathering that they usually have the first Saturday of every month. Here they all get tipsy on wine and talk about their current lives and trends. Sarah is always envious at these hangouts as she ends up listens to her friends ramble about the married life, their kids, and their husbands. Sarah is the only one left in the group who is still single. It is always around the end of the talks when Sarah's circle of friends pester and gang up on Sarah with questions about her love life. This Saturday the group decided to meet earlier in the day. This time around they pester Sarah from the start and more seriously today than they usually do. This time around becoming very annoyed Sarah makes up an excuse to leave early. On her drive back home she becomes frustrated when she thinks about her friends remarks from earlier. Their words really got to her today and she wonders why she keeps going to these gatherings. Though they make Sarah realize even more that she is only getting older and her clock is ticking, acting as a strange form of motivation. This also leads to her reflecting on her past dates and trying to figure out why she ends up with the wrong kinds of guys. After an hour of so driving and thinking she returns home. Sitting on the couch her head is still full of thoughts, watching some television for a few hours in an attempt to clear her mind. Accomplishing nothing she decides a good way to cool off would be to head to the gym nearby. At the gym Sarah goes for a long jog on the treadmill, sneakily glaring at the men working out who are for the most part oblivious to her presence. It soon gets close to closing time and Sarah heads into the women's locker room to retrieve her belongings. Only a few women are there tonight, the sorts of toned fit young and pretty types she envies.
She takes a quick rinse in one of the showers to get off some of the jogging sweat, leaning against the wall as she is more tired from her typical workout than usual. Stepping out of the shower she notices a pair of unusually long pig tails poking out from under the curtains of the shower next to hers. This puzzles Sarah as she didn't noticing anyone working out with long pigtails such as these, Sarah keeps to herself and continues to her locker. The locker room is now empty, Sarah goes to her locker quick and gets dressed thinking the gym has closed while she was in the shower. It is quiet though Sarah can still hear the shower running in the other room. Sarah gathers her stuff and looking towards the shower room she thinks it would be nice to let the girl with the pigtails know the gym is closed. She nears the shower,the long pig tails still sticking out in the same position. The water turns off and what follows is sobbing, just before Sarah is about to remind the girl of the gym's closing. Sarah instead asks if she is ok, Sarah wait for a bit but hears no response, her hand slowly reaches for the curtain. As Sarah is about to make contact the crying comes to a halt, it is so quiet that all that can be heard now is her breathing. The curtain slowly opens on its own, Sarah becomes delirious and light headed. She stumbles backwards away from the curtains feeling as if she is going to pass out any second now. Falling to the floor the last thing she sees is a strange blurry sight. The curtain now completely open, all she can make out is what looks like a suspended head without a body, the blurriness of her fading vision distorting its face. The sad cries mixed with the furious scream of a young girl ring sharply in Sarah's ears, she soon blacks out and her body feels light.

Waking up to a filthy stench crammed into a corner behind a curtain, Sarah bounces to her feet coughing and gagging. Going through the curtains she finds herself in a decrepit dark shower room. Unlike the gym shower room it is in utter ruins, dimly lit, and seemingly everywhere stained with dark filth and grime. Sarah feels something is very wrong, as this is the complete opposite of the gym shower room she can remember being in not to long ago. Exiting from the shower room and through a just as unpleasant bathroom she finds herself in a large hallway. This place is quiet and has an otherworldly feeling to it, Sarah thinks as she walks down the hallway. Soon she accidentally steps on something that mushes under her feet. Thinking its a large bug she become freaked out jumping back, but when she looks down she sees a mushed up doll of sorts oozing liquid. Not to far in the distance Sarah hears a dragging and scrapping noise. Sarah doesn't know what to make of it,she doesn't have a good feeling about it and turns around heading in the opposite direction. Sarah soon hears a noise that sounds like a chomping noise mixed in with the dragging and scrapping. Sarah starts to speed walk, she feels she is not alone as the unnerving presence of something lingers close behind her. Nervous Sarah dashes forward, suddenly tendrils dart out from behind tightly wrapping around her arms. Sarah screams as she feels these tendrils begin to pierce into her skin. Before she is able to turn her head around to see what is attacking her, the tendrils wrap around Sarah's face covering her eyes. The tendrils force Sarah's head to lean to the side, horrified as she hears the loud chomping of something unknown only inches away from her ear. Suddenly teeth plunge into her neck, viciously ripping and eating away at her flesh. In a short period of time Sarah's head is eaten off, the bleeding body falls and convulses on the floor. Sarah's head rolls to the side of her corpse with a frozen expression of terror on her cold dead face. The demon, the monstrous disembodied head of a little girl then floats downwards to the headless body of Sarah. Smaller tendrils slither down from its fleshy neck as the demon begins to attach itself to the body of Sarah. As the skin of the demon melds with the flesh of Sarah's neck, the demon's eyes roll into the back of its neck as the demon quivers. The demon stands up attached to the body of Sarah, cackling in a terrifying manner. Grunting a brief phrase in a demonic tongue using the horrendously warped voice of Sarah. The demon then skips ahead disappearing into the darkness with Sarah's body, leaving Sarah's head behind... Sarah's soul soon sinking into the depths of the Alternate Blackhaven Institution...
