Had a sudden urge to draw Rodan.*shrug* I may do more kaiju in the future.

Oh, you made her so pretty! Yes, I've always felt that the female was the survivor of the Rodan movie, I endulge my feminine right to romantic tragedy. ^_^
Anyhow! Thank you for no fangs and finally a decent beak. So many people go for the reptilian side and forget the avian aspects.
And no tiny spikes in front of her eyes (I always wondered how she saw with those things) looks so much better stream-lined.

I'm a fan of birds of prey, so it influenced how i drew him.

Fangs were on the Fire Rodan from the Heisei series.
The scene in Monster Zero, where Godzilla and Rodan are freed from the Xians control and slowly come to their senses, when they show a close up of Rodan's face you can see the spikes.

Rodan's one of those monsters who'll always be Showa to me.
I like how this design embraces that. The bulky wings and primitive tail design both convey that, as does the huge body.
I like how the head manages to look elegant and full of a very distinct personality, without looking overly anthropomorphic. It's of a logical size too. Not as large as a pteranodon, not as small as a turkey.
