Description
Some people will remember these five, the Mighty Five.. they are the elite superhero team in my superhero universe(the RP board of which you can visit here: [link] ).

There's alot of history with these guys, so I'm gonna be brief with some designer notes of each, from left to right:

Aeacus
In ancient times, the Greek kingdoms prayed to the gods for a being to uphold justice throughout the land. They were heard by Zeus, Athena, Hephaestus and Artemis, who combined their powers to create the greatest weapon of justice of its time. However, they would only awaken him on the condition that the nations of Greece refrained from war for a fixed period of time. They failed; with the Trojan War, the weapon was buried deep underground, never to be awakened in this time period. Aeacus would be reawakened by Signus(then Star-Man), Thunder Bird and Tionaia during their mission in Europe to defeat the Magi-Men society.

Aeacus is most obviously the muscle of the team. The armored bands across his arms, besides empowering him with enough strength to lift a building and making his body impenetrable, also endows him with all-speak and incredible running speed. Aeacus can take practically anything without breaking mortal or magical, and he is dubbed the team's "Ultimate Shield".

-Aeacus is named after a major Greek judge of ancient times. His monstrous design is a great contrast to what sculptors of Greek times would consider appealing for a humanoid being, but I wanted a presence that was intimidating more than anything. He isn't exactly a centaur, which is half-human half-horse. He is centauric at most, but is his own creature. He doesn't have nipples because they are impractical for a being forged by the gods 'Not like he can reproduce anyway. Despite what some might think, this doesn't bother him; he's not the kind to fall in love.

Tionaia
Tionaia hails from the faraway planet of Ko' Taio. Ever since she was little, she's had dreams about a boy from a far off planet who, according to her dreams, would become a god with her assistance. When she was of age, and with help from the government of her planet, she traveled into space, and set out for Earth alone. Tionaia arrived on Earth and found the boy she was looking for: Maddox Rubin, known to the world as Star-Man. Despite Maddox's boyish protests, Tionaia moved into his home and became a part of his life. It took Maddox some time to get used to her and her alien ways. Despite technically being the same age, Tionaia was years ahead of Maddox in wisdom and maturity. She became his close friend and mentor to all aspects of life. She soon became involved in his hero work, becoming a valuable partner on the battlefield. Tionaia was there by Star-Man's side through the formation of the Mighty Five, his transformation into Signus, and on through the creation of UHE(United Heroes of Earth).

Tionaia is the team's resident psychic. By now many of you know what psychics are capable of, as shows like Justice League Unlimited, X-Men and Teen Titans show clearly. Telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, psychokinesis, clairvoyance, she has them all. All these mental powers come at the price of having no physical defensive capability whatsoever.

-Tionaia's costume was designed by . Her overall appearance has some slight inspiration from DC's Raven and other characters of the same branch. Her blue skin is alot lighter than most blue-skinned characters in comic books, something I did consciously as I noticed there were alot of darker-blue-skinned people(especially in X-Men ). Tionaia's race doesn't give birth to their offspring anymore, it is all by artificial insemination in test tubes and labs. Her race being millions of years old, they are incapable of getting pregnant, making sex simply for sex(something her species does not take for granted). Tionaia herself was a 'tube baby; she has no belly button, and her body has very little body fat(Her bust size is also very, very small, partially also because she has no mammary glands). Since her face usually shows little emotion, the bead on her head changes color to represent her mood.

Signus
Like most great heroes, Maddox came of humble origins. Born in Richmond, Virginia, of a middle-class family, reading up on the Glory Days of many years ago was one of his greatest past times. He secretly wished he could become as great as Glory Guard one day. His dreams seemed to be on the right track, as in his teenage years his super powers manifested. It took him a while to get the hang of them, but by this time, he had made up his mind on the matter; rather than suppress the powers like most super-beings of that time, he felt it was high time the Glory Days returned, Enemy be damned. "What if Enemy returns and heroes populate the planet?" His closest friends would ask him. "What if Enemy returns and there are no heroes?" He would respond. With a stylish suit and the moniker Star-Man, he set off into the city to become a great crime-fighter. It wasn't until he was confronted by Tionaia, that his hero career started on its path to greatness. The psychic alien did not leave his side, only telling him that he had a great destiny ahead, and that she was part of it. This was enough to boost Star-Man's confidence, and coupled with Tionaia's assistance, his hero exploits became greater and greater. Soon enough he was so famous that he decided to take his career on the road, having a crime fighting "tour" up the New England states. While in Connecticut, he met Thunder Bird, a Native American heroine with the very spirit of the Thunder Bird coursing through her body. A fiery and passionate woman, she and Star-Man took some time getting used to each other, but eventually warmed up. Thunder Bird even joined Star-Man's tour. Eventually, they became so famous that they were called for by the European nations to help with a villain group outbreak that was spreading through the continent; the Magi-Men. These olde-speaking individuals wielded the power of magic, and wielded it well. The team traveled to Europe, and took the organization down one magical fiend at a time, finally reaching their leader in Greece. There, they found him deep underground, attempting to summon a draconian centaur that, according to him, would do his every bidding. But upon freeing the creature, it turned on him, for the centaur was a being of raging justice. Never having a name, he was dubbed 'Aeacus' by the team, and the centaur joined their league. They tracked the fleeing Magi-Men leader into Russia, where they found themselves in a rat race against a super-soldier mercenary called The Armory. Clashing several times, they finally decided to set their differences aside, and joined forces to capture the criminal. With their combined powers, the Magi-Men leader was finally apprehended. Learning a great deal about himself and his potential from various conversations with Tionaia, he joined the league with a hearty laugh and a bottle of vodka. And so the Mighty Five were born. Together, they were just about invincible, and became a shining beacon of hope wherever they were called in. Then, came the day Tionaia had prophecized. In the Middle East, during the Persian Gulf War, a powerful demon named Okazo had risen out of the Fertile Crescent. Though it has yet to have been discovered how he was summoned, it was nonetheless malignant, as he was focusing his fury on the American army alone. the Mighty Five were called in. In a titanic battle that lasted a good hour, Star-Man was the only one left standing in the demon's way. He sacrificed himself to defeat Okazo, punishing his own body with eternal damnation in Hell. It was the only surefire way to defeat him, and he suffered for five Earth-minutes in the fires of Hell. But it was not to be. Just as he entered the fiery world, he was lifted into cold, soothing space. The Cosmos that ruled over the galaxy were pleased with his heroic act. They dubbed him Hero of Earth, and gave him back his life, augmenting his powers exponentially. They then bestowed onto him the Hero Sword, one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. Star Man was reborn, as Signus.

Signus is basic Superman in powers; flight, durability and superstrength. His body absorbs cosmic radiation which powers him and allows him to fire bursts of astral energy. The Hero Sword is capable of cutting through the fabrics of time and space, and can twist and bend around(a loose example is Kuwabara's sword from Yu-Yu Hakusho).

-Signus' design isn't difficult to get wrong; he is, after all, the staple 'Greatest Hero on Earth', and such a costume usually appears the same regardless of hero universe. However, I needed something to differentiate him from Superman and all others of his ilk. That's when the idea of the white eyes and hair came about, and it set perfectly. To seal the deal, Signus always removes his cape before battle. I always saw capes as getting in the way, anyway Despite being the most generic of the bunch, Signus' character is far less "Americancentric" as the likes of Super or Cap America(though he has a reason after all). He isn't a hero of America, and his focus is on protection of the world. He is sort of a walking staple to my ideology with my hero universe to make it far more international rather than centering everything in New York City or the United States.

Thunder Bird
Many years ago, a Cheyenne family in a reserve in Wyoming gave birth to a baby girl. This girl was born unattractive, slow-minded, and very sick. As she grew, her illnesses became worse. When she was six, she was in a coma from her weakness. Her grandmother took her to the highest point in the state. There, she prayed over the girl's body for three whole days. Finally, at her point of death, the great spirit of the Thunder Bird appeared before her. In exchange for her mortality, the grandmother prayed to the Thunder Bird to turn the girl's life around. The Thunder Bird agreed, and took both the girl and her grandmother into him. He then flew back to the reserve, leaving the girl, but taking her grandmother with him into the sky. From that day forward, the girl known as 'Flying Hawk'(Aenohe) changed for the better. She grew to be an intelligent, healthy and beautiful young woman. Years later, she returned to the mountain top to pay respects to both her grandmother and the Thunder Bird. Pleased with Aenohe's sense of honor, the Thunder Bird came down once more, and granter her his power. From that moment on, within Aenohe lied the awsome power of the Thunder Bird.

Thunder Bird is a sonics master, able to control sound to an incredible degree and can cause a car in front of her to go flying with a thundrous snap of her finger. She can release a yellow-colored beam of sonic energy with properties slightly similar to Spider-Man's the Shocker. Thunder Bird has developed a technique she dubs the 'Hypersonic Punch', which is a fist charged with a sonic emit that cycles through almost every sonic frequency. This punch is able to break through almost any defense as a result, giving her the foil-name of Aeacus', "Ultimate Shield-Breaker". Her most awesome ability is to summon the Thunder Bird itself, a massive eagle-like yellow energy form about the size of a 747 airplane. With Aenohe safely inside, the Thunder Bird can do 'massive damage' by flying across objects/opponents, leaving sonic booms in its wake. Besides all this, Thunder Bird can fly and has a fair amount of super strength. Her defensive ability, however, leaves something to be desired and she is the most immature/irrational of the group.

-Thunder Bird's costume was also originally designed by . Eventually I remade some of the designs to better fit with her Cheyenne heritage. Obviously very voluptuous, I designed her to be a great opposite to Tionaia, in both personality and form. She is one of the Mighty Five's fanbase's favorite members, most likely because she is the most flawed of the group, which can make her seem the most interesting. Either that, or tits Although she will never admit it, Thunder Bird has very strong feelings for Signus.

The Armory
The Armory has been around since (and fought in) World War II. A Russian "hyper soldier" under the Opekun(Protector) project, Dmitri was one of the Soviet Union's greatest kept secret weapons. The arrival of the omni-powerful Enemy in the late 70's soon heralded, strangely enough, the fall of the Soviet Union. Left without a cause, the Armory found a new one as a mercenary for the people. During Star-Man/Tionaia/Thunder Bird/Aeacus' mission against the Magi-Men, the leader of the villanous cult would escape to Russia, where the heroes followed and found themselves clashing with the Armory, who seeked to take down the Magi-Men leader himself in the name of his country. This soon led to a conflict, with the four heroes being forced to fight the Armory. The Russian warrior showed incredible skill as he managed to stave off all four heroes by himself, partially in thanks to his guerilla tactics and heavy assortment of weapons(traps). The opposing forces soon, however, resolved differences to take down the larger threat at hand. The Armory liked fighting alongside the group so much that he made himself their next member.

The Armory, as his name implies, is packed to the brim with weaponry. You just can't see more than two of them whenever he wears his coat, but once it comes off, bricks are shat. Besides his shmorgasborg of weapons, Dmitri is also at peak human physical ability, with great reflexes, agility, leaping, strength that surpasses that of a normal man. He also has the ability to fully absorb radiation around him and safely house it in his body(his eyes glow a faded green). If he needs to, he can expel the radiation in a radial burst of energy from his body, then absorb it once again to remove lingering radiation from the environment around him. He has been known to absorb the radiation of an entire nuclear explosion site.

-the Armory is the only character in the Mighty Five I did not create. His concept is entirely 's. The most I did was give him vision(as in, draw his design) and help polish how his powers worked, as well as his integration into the Mighty Five. His look has undergone alot of different styles in the past(including black hair), but this is the most recent, most liked and thus definitive look that we will go with. Dmitri happens to have a major crush on Tionaia
