Description This is why I love Belgium. It's just so beautiful in my opinion. It's a mishmash of all sorts of urban wonders. This train station was practically abandoned on the morning of the 29th December, abandoned on foot, but in the sky, there were planes flying over every minute. So I snapped this shot, and I've got to say, I think it's one of my favourite shots I've done, not because of my skill (or lack of it), but because of the beauty of this scene.

As everyone else has said, great shot! And you've done some top ones, too.

I like the composition. The wires and tracks and platform are all going in the same direction, and the plane totally defies this and is slicing across.

I found Belgium so intruiging - it's not beautiful in the way the Lake District or Chatsworth House is, but it's so full of character and life and excitement that you see when you accept the place. Good stuff! x

I agree...this is an absolutely wonderful shot! You've already said about all there is to say in your description, all I can add is that the lighting (I assume this was taken either in the morning or late afternoon) really adds to the feeling.

A real spot-on job!

Thanks mate! That means a lot! The lighting is the morning so the pilot of the plane must be being blinded by the sun rising!

Sometimes you just have to be optimistic and fly blind into what you hope is the best direction. In that respect, this pilot could be somewhat metaphoric of life in general
