Seriously, the new Dragon Dagger sucks!The old one was perfect the wat it was.
Is the blade on the hilt even nessasary?
Whos idea was it to put it there anywhay?
I could rant more on this issue, but I'll stop.
I may be exagerating a little about how feel about it, but still.

You can get a pack fromthe current running gokaiger line that appears to have the classic style dragon dagger along with a few other sentai weapons with it. It's pricey though.

I wouldn't say the original was perfect - It had an undersized blade. Luckily, the dagger blade on this version detaches. Take it off and shove it over the old dagger's blade, and you'll have a mighty fine dagger.

my suggestion is to ignore the extra blade's existence. All you need to do is put a cap on the end to hide it

Well it kind of works that way. Another feature to the new Dragon Dagger is that you actually blow into the flute to activate the sounds. The downside to this is that, due to copyright, they could not fully replicate th original tunes, and instead had to change the tunes a little to mak it sound different, but somewhat similar.

(I actually asked my Applied Music teacher if a functional instrument could be made of the Dragon Dagger/Zyusouken. She said if you could take the gold cap off the bottom to let the air escape the trumpet half, it could function as a half-clarinet, half-trumpet thing. And she actually said if a student wanted to learn to play one for class, she'd allow it... Pending if she could learn to play it herself, of course.)

Actually, someone made one out of metal that works as a flute. The gold caps at either end have air vents in them, as the sculpt of the toys implies.

It is bit unnecessary, but it does look nice, and if you want it to play the original music you can just take out the batteries and just whistle.

I just found out that the sounds this one makes are slightly different than the original due to copyright. It just makes the item worse.

now i will say...i bought this, for shits and giggles..but what gets me is...WTF why did they put a fucking lightsaber on the end of it? Dont get me wrong i love star wars but the Power Rangers and Star Wars....dont mix for me.

True, but the Dragon Dagger and Blade Blaster are significantly smaller than the original ones. The things are clearly made to fit childrens hands. Here is a visual representation of what I mean [link]

there are larger ones. I had one when I was younger that was full sized, and I'm not saying that because it fit my hand, even the design was more accurate to the original from the series.
