the health potion was made with an empty vanilla bottle some red paint and gold cord.
the nirnroot is made of wire, paper, and hot glue.

I love this so much! I am actually working on a series of skyrim inspired alchemy ingredients myself. (sculpted a taproot last night) Your look much more true to the game though!

There's a few here....but they are more 'witch' and less cosplay i guess. Hard to see the ingredients themselves in these actual photos.. :\

ALL MY LOVES! I want some stuff like this, oh so bad! You are very inspired. And YES always more TES!

Random note: I've mildly considered trying witchcraft potion making in . I don't think I'd seriously get into the whole spiritual belief of it, but more just try it for fun. Though I'd thunk of myself as a Mage, not a witch! XD

>_< Never got into alchemy in Skyrim. Oblivion I dabbled in it, but I remember Morrowind... I was scouring the landscape for alchemical ingredients. Being a sword and board knight type, I was always getting pelted by cliff racers, and picking fights with things much tougher than I. I needed every healing potion in the land twice over. O_O

Then I got the 15% chameleon ring from the two female bandits outside of... Gnisis I think? Or was it Balmora... Either way, once I had that ring, everything would get confused, run at me, run away, run at me, run away... Made the fight with Dagoth Ur really easy. Didn't work on anything in the Tribunal expansion though. O_O

Hmm...at that part is there spoken dialogue from Azura about something? Cause I fetched some ring for a lady then another person appeared and attacked and killed me and I could never find that again.

Demicus-Maximus In reply to PunkRoctorok [2013-04-16 03:14:58 +0000 UTC]

It MAY have been Azura, warning you to not be so trusting right as you find the ring. The two then attack you, and the Ring of Shadows is on the dark elf female.

After loading the game up, the encounter is a bit southwest of Ald Velothi, between there and Arkngthunch-Sturdumz. COULD be wrong, but I am 99% sure I recognize the pond where you have to get the ring.

it's funny because when i started playing the game i kept collecting ingredients and never using them. i just like having them around. that habit followed me through all three games to skyrim. at least in this one i actually make potions+poisons, but i never took any of the perks from the alchemy tree.

I carry lots of food items for RP, but I store alchemical ingredients without using them often. Same with ales and such. Aparantly, water is only for "milk drinkers" here in Skyrim... whereas in New Vegas and Fallout 3 I am a god of water, with hundreds of bottles of water stashed all over the place. >_<

Oblivion had one very BROKEN potion you could make though. 50pts health regen, 100% shield, 50% normal weapon resistance, 50% resistance to shock and frost, 100% resistance to fire, and strength buff of 50. Duration of eight real-time minutes. It was a bug in the... the... mage tower thing... forget the name of the DLC, but it added Frostcrag Spire, a beefy mage-oriented tower west of Bruma. FUN bug. ^_^
