Description
Today for Dinovember I decided to draw those cool creatures that you usually see in dinosaur stuff, but... are not dinosaurs.
It's 2015 and people still confusing many prehistoric creatures with dinosaurs! how can that be?
So here I drew some of the most popular dinosaurs that are not dinosaurs intentionally innacurate (that includes the childish colors). So here we go with the descriptions and why I choosed them:

Effigia
A creature truly little known. Although its features are amazing: It's a rauisuchian, so that means is a crurotarsi ... which means is closely related to crocodiles! almost one!
But yeah, it looks more like some kind of prosauropod, like plateosaurus, instead of something you could call "similar to a crocodile".
I haven't seen people confusing this specific creature with a dinosaur, but I've seen tons confusing similar triassic and permic reptiles with ones, also confusing crocodiles and rausuchians. But... basically at the end I drew this one because I wanted  .

Dimetrodon
Possibly the most popular case of THIS IS NOT A DINOSAUR IDIOT!.
Dimetrodon is a Synapsid , which means is most closely related to us, humans and mammals, than to dinosaurs. Not to mention that is a creature from the permian, the last period before the mesozoic era, aka Dinosaurs Era.
This one is intentionally innacurate as some of you may know . But I still wanted to draw of the new cool features, like the rat-like tail!

Pteranodon
Shit I fucking explained this before , pterosaurs are not fucking dinosaurs, that's all I gonna say now.
And yep, intentionally innacuratly drawn like the one at the end of JP2.

Mammoth
Ok so here I see we are having real big problems: Does the general public not only thinks that any prehistoric reptile is a dinosaur, but virtually any prehistoric animal? even mammals? SHIT
You don't know how many gameplays of Ark I've seen where people call Mammoths (and all the other mammals) DINOSAURS. Like... what the fuck?

Polycotylus
I could have drawn any other more famous marine mesozoic reptile I like more... but I'm saving those for later . I also thought of drawing a mosasaurus but... fuck I don't want people thinking this has something to do with that dinosaur movie I prefer not to mention.
So Polycotylus (shit, I even saw one once , and my photo stills one of the few things you can find of polycotylus in DA) and all those other cool prehistoric marine reptiles you know... yes those: plesiosaurus, elamosaurus, ichthyosaurus, liopleurodon, kronosaurus, tylosaurus and moshi-moshi-saurus-desu... are not dinosaurs. They are not even closely related to each other! They belong to many groups: plesiosauria, ichthyosauria and mosasauridae! (I am forgeting something?)
So basically Polycotylus cames from benneth the fucking sea to tell you that dinosaurs belong to land, not water, nor sky.

Honorable mentions:
Didn't draw these and I think it wasn't neccesary.
Archaeopteryx: in coloquial terms, is not a dinosaur... but scientifically talking... is an avian dinosaur  !
Chlamydosaurus: Seriously -_-? Because it ends in SAURUS doesn't mean is a dinosaur. The named it like that just because... it sounds cool!
