Description
These guys are the ADA's answer to NWI Wardogs, and earlier on they also effectively fought against ASUN's initial tunnel attack groups before the alliance.Trained and used in an anti-infantry role, they excelled at close-quarters combat and melee. Armoured heavily, they were an elite group and the precursor to other similar units created during the final part of the Third War and afterwards.
Their armour comprises of a light kevlar bodysuit, on top of which modern composite plate armour is added, giving them almost a medieval look, hence their nickname, "Crusaders". These troops fare exceptionally well against Wardogs, though they by no means match their strength one-to-one. However, tightly knit squads of Crusader infantry can take down a comparable Wardog force with ease due to their sentience; their ability to independantly apply tactics without the aid of the Wardogs' "leash".
Crusaders during the war were armed with a special variant of the JL G7 meant to chamber the brand new 7.17x71mm RIFLE round. In fact, their G7X1 was the only rifle to use this round until long after the war, and it proved to be highly effective.

when you say CQC, you mean he's only a close quarters combat unit?

They also carry a high-power assault carbine, but yes - they specialise in Melee fighting. They're definately not equipped or trained to be marksmen in any sense, so they're ineffective at long ranges.

Ahh....snipeing and close range combat, two good combinations just in case you are about to get ambushed from behind without knowing or if you already expected it.
