- Thinner and more colorful than most Seels, due to her father being a Dragonair. Her muzzle is more faded due to this as well.

Colette is an optimistic and curious lass. She loves to storm off and explore without a second thought. Though this makes her very brave and head-strong, it shows how she can also be very naive. She's also easily excitable and social. She is also a bit naughty and loves to tease and pull silly pranks on people. She is the master of sass and innuendos and is very flirtatious.

  "W-Why are you so mean?? Stop teasing me..haha...."

Even though she is very extroverted on the outside, it's mostly because she's desperate to be accepted. Colette can sometimes be all talk and no bite, especially when it comes to flirting. Acting head-strong and brave is covering up how she's actually sensitive and self-conscious. But, the only people who really know how she actually is are the members of her team!

  "Are you kidding me? No way! Absolutely No!"

And of course, she can be very defiant. This is mostly because she's a sore-loser, due to her high competitiveness. The easiest words to summarize her up is this: high maintenance.

» History:

Colette was born in a small coral reef near the coast of Seasong City. Her mother, Estella, was more than pleased to have a child that took on her species. Colette's older brother, Colton, grew up to be a Dragonair like their father. The underwater town that they lived in was quite small, since most pokemon preferred to live on land, but that meant that everyone who lived there was close-knit and almost like one big family.
Colette and her family spent most of their time in that same coral reef, but each autumn and winter when the waters near Sapphire Island got too cold, they would migrate to their Winter Reef near the Emerald Port, following the warm water currents. Each time was always like one big family road trip, and it was always incredibly fun.
  Because of how close Colette's family was, its one of the reasons she's so reliant on others today. Since growing up she only ever had to rely on her family members and never had to exclusively be independant, now as an adult she's constantly being needy and relying on her friends. Most pokemon now a days live on land, and since Colette's reef was so small, there was no public school she could go to. So it was decided that she would be home schooled by her parents, alongside her older brother. This worked out perfectly, because they travelled around so much. (This basically means that for the most part of her life, her social enteractions were very limited.) Her best friend at the time, of course, was her older brother. Colton always looked after her, and they spent every day playing with eachother. Colette was actually more fond of her brother than she was of her parents- though she would never say that outloud. It was because Colton was so selfless and constantly spoiled her, making her feel like it was okay that she could simply act like a baby forever.

But because of how sheltered she was, she got very bored. Every day was exactly the same. Her only hobbies really included swimming and playing games with her older brother. And then maybe some more swimming. Every once in a while she might spy a lone pokemon and play a little prank on them just for fun, but they would always get angry and leave. Growing up so sheltered means that she has a really hard time empathizing with others feelings, since all she's ever really known is her family. And her opinions on certain matters might seem a little biased because shes only ever experienced her own family's opinions (Water pokemon are the best, land pokemon are weak, Family always takes priority, etc). Everyone in her family seemed to share the exact same opinions and view points, because thats how the parents raised their children to be.

She was the only one in the family, however, who actually loved to explore on land. She would always make friends on whichever island they were nearby, and was constantly getting into trouble with the land pokemon. One day, when Colette was 10 years old, she was floating atop the waves near the Seasong docks. While relaxing on her back, being rocked by the waves, she noticed out of the corner of her eye a small fishing boat with two passangers on it. Curious and naive, she followed it for a closer look. Inside was a young eevee named Allison, and her father. And the two became very close friends.

After the exposure to the world above sea-level, she became absolutely fascinated with land pokemon. She constantly had Allison teach her all about how things worked on land, and they would go on all sorts of adventures together in their spare time. Allison also taught her how to fight on the ground, which was very difficult for Colette at first. Colette attempted to teach Allison how to swim a couple of times, but she was better off in a fishing boat with her father. Colette's family wasn't exactly super pleased that she had found new friends, but they got over it when they were introduced to Allison's father. Though, Colette still had to migrate each winter, but she and Allison promised eachother each year that when Colette came back, they would both have something new to teach the other.

When the Tragedy hit, it hit hard. Hurricanes spun and tsunamis swept the ocean. Colette and her family were just about to migrate for the winter when it struck. The rough waters and waves caused her to get seperated from her family, and eventually gave up on finding them. When she returned to Seasong City, in the lightning and rain, she found Allison sitting at the docks, waiting for her father to come back from fishing. When neither of their familes came back, they decided to work together to find them, as a team.

Colette's original idea was to join the guild on Seasong, after all- it made the most logical sense. And even though Colette knew almost nothing about Guilds, Allison had convinced her that joining/going to a guild would be the first step. Allison, however, had other plans. She had heard about the guild in Everstone and was absolutely fascinated. Since it seemed to be a bigger guild, there would be a higher chance of them possibly running into their family members there. But the main reason was that the two wanted to explore someplace new very badly, and Everstone seemed like a smart place to go. Although the two of them were saddened by the idea of leaving their home island, Allison thought that it would be what her father wanted. And of course- Colette being so dependant on others- wherever Allison goes Colette will follow.
