This is the most bad ass axe ever. I love the slight gradients in hue. It's a party for my EYES!

I had not seen that combination yet, there is some link with the step-by-step how to "get back" the object of Mudbox Blender without losing uvmap generated?

Well, I don't usually use UV maps in Mudbox (I just make the sculpt, then use Blender or Xnormal to bake that into a texture outside of Mudbox) so I'm not sure. But aren't UV maps simply preserved when you import and export .obj files? I don't have any links on hand, sorry.

Pretty clever, being a horror spider beast latched onto the pole. Its a pretty clever design

Oh, that is very nice! Excellent detail, especially considering the limitations of the contest. And totally fits within the game's style, too! Polycount always attracted a lot of very good talent...

I will be severely surprised if this gets less than second place.

It's really amazing, I loved the concept, but haven't they limited in 1500 tris to enter the contest?

Nah it was just a ballpark figure kinda, it was stated you could go over by a couple hundred if necessary, and many people have. Some were pushing 1800 even.
Thanks!

Oh thanks, awesome. Well, they do have judges this time. But once the final 3 for each category have been decided, the winners out of those are gonna be voted on on facebook. Here's the rules page: [link]
