Omg, 2D!Here's some environment assets I've been doing for a cute little 2D MMO in the making called Sagramore: [link] Do keep in mind the game's still very much a work in progress.

is creating 2d assets like this applicable when creating textures for 3d low poly game assets also? if so, would you mind to share some stuffs where to start?

Yes, I believe starting out with 2D art is a very good basis for learning to model and texture in 3D. As for where to start, I honestly couldn't tell you. I just picked up bits and pieces everywhere during the years. I'm sure if you google for something like 2D art tutorials you could find what you're looking for, though.
