Looks nice!
How do you make iso tiles using square images, anyway?

Usually square textures with transparent corners. Β Then you just place them back to front, bottom to top if you have variable height. Β Google isometric tileset on google images.

That makes sense.
Let me rephrase that.
How did they make iso tiles way back in the day when having transparent corners would have been a huge waste of memory that the systems of that time could not afford?

Sorry, I just saw this. Β I don't think they would have ever been smushed into a texture grid closer than the squares. Β I can imagine a way of doing it and cutting off the corners procedurally but I would think it wouldn't be worth the CPU tradeoff.

Cool, the colors and the detailed character reminded me at first of chrono trigger and terranigma, but the size and the isometric really make it look more like FFT, great jib dude, if you said it was a gam anyone would believe

Oho, nice. I really like this one. I agree with Dominostars on the whole FFT and Tactics Ogre vibe. Though, with the colors, gives more of a light-hearted vibe.

Incredible! I really like it, reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics.
