It makes me wonder if with today's tech someone could make a 3D adventure/exploration game like that and keep it looking like pixelart. Maybe something like the the 3D levels from the old Sonic games.
Or maybe the world stays in that isometric view, and places like the top of that screen would load a new area

That's so lovely! Tell me how you're doing it~! I'm practicing pixel arts for the sake of my game, but I really suck... Are you doing the sketch before you'll start drawing on computer? And which program are you using? I will be veeery thankful if you would tell me

Thank you thank you! Well I would probably need to make a more in depth tutorial for this, but basically I start off by making silhouettes for the objects. When I'm happy with the shape for my character/object, I begin doing some rough coloring for my sprite. Next step is to work on the details pixel by pixel. I personally prefer trying to finish the character sprites first before I make the environment, but that's me.

Well, there is no limit to perfection. You know better, where they great and where they don't.
But i think they just perfect! They really made me remember old-school Sega MD/Super Nintendo era. Really miss that time style and designs.
Nowadays game companies forgetting sprite graphics. Everything goes 3D or clean drawn, like Rayman Origins. Maybe its because of HD era..
And i really miss that pixel graphics
