Description
I've made a lot of these over the past little while, thought I may as well put them up somewhere. This one is the weapon of one of my RWBY OCs, Stella Amaranth. It's name is Firestorm.
It's 2 pairs of 2 SMGs each, that spin on rails around the grips. The firing is triggered by each half rotation, syncing up with their max fire rate at max speed for an effectively doubled fire rate. This rate is then doubled again for the other pair of SMGs, for a max cyclical fire rate that amounts to 80 rounds per second altogether.
The bullets are very low-caliber, virtually incapable of killing, but they are fire dust rounds. The high fire rate acts together with the momentary fireball of each impact to give these weapons their name, Firestorm. Their ability to cloak enemies in the hellish blaze of these weapons is their true power.
Because the firing feeds into the rotation, there's no negative effect from the recoil.

It sounds like a way to get shot in the shoulders.

Not if they're set up to only fire at a certain point in their rotation. And that's pretty easy to do. It's how gatling guns work.

Agreed, unless there is a way to localize bullet-fire in one direction only, this weapon seems unsafe for use.

RWBY doesn't believe in the laws of physics.

I never said anything about physics, I'm talking about common sense in weapon safety.

Technically, you'd be both right and wrong with that. You'd be right because it isn't a safe weapon to use, but you'd also be wrong since Remnant characters possess a protective aura that would repel bullets.
Of course, considering that you could simply have them shoot out one side and not the other, that could also solve the problem rather easily.
