i spent all last month playing the mass effect trilogy for the first time and like
i love u grunt but damn give a girl some warning
made less intimidating by the fact that the thresher maw looks 2 kawaii but w/e

Of course my Shepard had the Sole Survivor background.
You know, that should have just brought up screaming noises any time these things showed up.

She was pissing herself the whole time while she was blindly firing at it...

NO SPOILERS, BUT LEVEL UP YOUR SHIP'S ARMOR. DO ALL THE ARMOR UPGRADES. SERIOUSLY.Β
And when the final mission comes, if you have sidequests open, ignore them. Go straight to it.

I have 1 armour upgrade, 1 weapon upgrade and 1 shield upgrade.

Actually considering how much abuse they'd take in the first game when you're firing a large bore cannon at them from the Mako and hosing them down with the machine gun between shots, I suspect this one had to be a baby.
Still it was a good fight, although I don't recall if I was surprised by the Sand Worm... err... Thresher Maw showing up the first time I played it.
