Oh trust me he REALLY doesn't like Templars, at best by the end of Inquisition he'll have only met three Templars (maybe two depending on how the next chapter of my fanfic goes) who he has even the slightest respect for, and with the exception of Cullen they're all dead at that point. The Chantry is also a major sore note for him for various reasons. He's definitely cool with elves, having spent most of his life in a Circle that was so bad it could give Kirkwall a run for its money really encourages a cosmopolitan attitude toward race. If he had been there when your Inquisitor told off those Templars, especially if it was in Valy Royeax in front of that raving Mother he probably would have fallen head over heels for her.
